PIRATES vs. NAVY BATTLE LOG

December 9th finds some new arrivals to this world, the same curious phenomenon that's been occurring for the past few months.

This time, however, the Navy is prepared -- or so they think.

They've got troops stationed around the island, and ships on the water to stop any arrogant, foolhardy pirates and would-be sailors from trying to make port.

So hit them with all you've got, but they're not going down easily...

[dammit Brook, he wanted to slice those guys! Oh well, the damage is done, so Zoro turns to his crewmate first. What he says makes absolutely no sense whatsoever - but then, his own fake moustache probably doesn't, either]

Brook. I thought you were on the ship.

[oh hang on no you did not call him that. He whirls back to the big ol' shark with a snarl]

DON'T CALL ME THAT! What...yeah, of course I know Luffy.

[he idly lifts one blade to subtly deflect another bullet. Damn Navy stop shooting at them already]

I was on the ship, and now I'm here!

[A delightful laugh escaped Brook's lack of lips as he idly deflected two bullets back into the shoulders of the one's who'd fired them.]

Luffy-san and the rest of us have been waiting for you to arrive, I'm afraid this place, wherever it is, isn't quite the place we last were. Or I should say the world we last were, yohoho~! And as you can see my fishy friend, I am quite dead! As a doornail you might say! Yohohoho!!

[Brook finished as he stiffened up and fell over on his side for emphasis, though his actions caused a well aimed sword to sail harmlessly over him; its blade placed right where his neck would have been a second before.]

[This is all... weird to process. Ace's little brother's crew keeps showing up- where the hell were these guys a few weeks ago when all that war shit went down, anyway?- somebody definitely drugged him or some shit cuz he still feels like he's gonna hurl, and these dumbass not!Marines keep trying to kill him like they got a chance. Namur punches the swordsman that swung at Brooke, shattering the front of his skull.]

World we last... Aaaaaare we all dead?

[That would explain why Luffy showed up with a whole bunch of losers and Jimbei-bro. But wait if Luffy was here that meant the little brat had gotten himself killed at some point after the war, so they even failed at backing him up.

Shit, he's gonna be pissed, he can tell.]

Don't ask me. I don't feel dead, though. [he thumbs over his shoulder at Brook] He's the only one allowed to look like that.

[Brook laughed as he rose back up as if he were being pulled by an invisible string; all the while he spun his torso around like a bladed top, taking out two other swordsman on his way back up.]

I can tell you that you are indeed still alive, though the particulars of this world still escape me.

[Namur hops back to keep from becoming sashimi as Brook rises from the ground. He's seen some creepyass shit in his day, so he blinks at the skeleton for only a moment more, then chuffs as he shakes his head.]

Y'all have fun, then. Had 'bout 'nuff a this [he sidesteps a bullet, and crashes his fist into an oncoming swordsman.] shit t' last me awhile.

[not Zoro, it's never enough. He dashes into the fray rather eagerly, wanting to get a little action in to limber up. You never know what'll happen next, there could be some powerful admirals around here or something! All the while, he keeps Brook within sight, or thinks he does...eventually, though, he's going to find himself free of enemies to beat down and nowhere near his crewmate. Oops]

[Brook kept his stance light and his movements quick; never seeking out an opponent, merely deflecting blows, bullets, and bodies that came his way. Well...if a stray navy officer caught a deflected bullet, well that was just a part of the battle; nothing fatal of course, usually just to the leg or shoulder, but they certainly wouldn't be fighting anymore. Zoro would do what Zoro did, and his new acquaintance looked to be doing just fine; best to focus on the things he could, like keeping his bony head attached to his shoulders.]
