PIRATES vs. NAVY BATTLE LOG

December 9th finds some new arrivals to this world, the same curious phenomenon that's been occurring for the past few months.

This time, however, the Navy is prepared -- or so they think.

They've got troops stationed around the island, and ships on the water to stop any arrogant, foolhardy pirates and would-be sailors from trying to make port.

So hit them with all you've got, but they're not going down easily...

It'll be okay, Rosetta. Really. The whole point of this strategy is to blend in until the last possible moment, so we can make the best use of our abilities. If they could see us from here, we'd probably be hearing the cannons about no-

[The distant roar of a ship's broadside scared her enough that she almost dropped the icy mist that was their cover; she shook herself and brought it back to full strength, or maybe a bit stronger, just to be safe. She didn't hear the cannonballs hit the water, so maybe they were aiming at something else...?]

On second thought, be ready with Rosetta Reflection. If they start to fire at us, we're going to have very little warning.

[Rosetta gave her friend a bit of a worried look as she was startled. Not to say that SHE wasn't, either, but as she composed herself the yellow Cure smiled to her.]

But of course. That's why I'm up here, is it not?

[Holding out a hand, her Lovely Heart Arrow came into being, and her possession.]

Still, it is likely not a question of "if..."

...it's a question of "when." [Grimacing, Diamond focuses on making sure the mist stays functional; a round of Navy guns firing into the Shepherd would be the end of them, even with Rosetta's shields.]

Some days I really wish these forms weren't so sparkly. I like it, but... we stand out way too much.

... I like them, but times like this, I have to agree...

[Cure Heart jumped up, standing on a rigging and just sighed as she slumped in place]

You both have some way of helping the ship right now... and I'm not even sure if my attacks will work on cannon fire...

... Maybe my Precure form isn't where I'm most useful right now...

[Rosetta gives a laugh towards Diamond's comment before Heart joins them, and she smiles over in her direction.]

As far as your power's effect goes, we really won't be able to find out until we have to... but...

[She glances back out, peering through the thickness of the fog as best she can. It's not very well.]

It's fine, I think. Just you being here along with us is more than enough.

Agreed! If something happens, you can keep an eye on us. And even if it doesn't, I'm less nervous if you're here.

[Even through the sparkles and the long hair, the faint blush is definitely visible. Someday she'll get the hang of this... probably.]

... Well, I suppose if you put it like that... but I still want to make sure the ship is secure.

[and to do that, she pulled out her journal, writing a quick message to the rest of the ship... if you looked closely, though, you'd see a blush on Heart's cheeks as well]

[Rosetta, meanwhile, just sort of ... continued to look out at basically nothing due to the fog's thickness.]

As things are now, though, so far... I do not believe we'll have anything to worry about. Not until the fighting truly begins, at least...
