PIRATES vs. NAVY BATTLE LOG

December 9th finds some new arrivals to this world, the same curious phenomenon that's been occurring for the past few months.
This time, however, the Navy is prepared -- or so they think.
They've got troops stationed around the island, and ships on the water to stop any arrogant, foolhardy pirates and would-be sailors from trying to make port.
So hit them with all you've got, but they're not going down easily...
SWAN DIVE into this...sad display. Probably
Cross had just been sneaking around through the streets as well. He was moving silently, but quickly. He had to keep on his toes, because these soldiers were just about everywhere. The only way he would get answers though if they were probably beaten. He just needed to expect that someone who'd attack him might come around the corner at any moment.
What he did not expect around the corner was him hitting his crotch on a moped that was being pulled along.
He'd just crumple over now on the sidewalk. "O-owwwww...oh god whyyyyy..."
I don't even think she has the right expression for this dksj
"Hey-!" She immediately jumped back as she let go of the small vehicle, balancing it so it didn't crash to the ground, and then quickly turned to where to boy had fallen. Whatever noise she was consciously (or subconsciously) trying to repress had completely vanished now. She tried lifted him so he was sitting up on the floor.
"Are you okay? You didn't get too hurt, did you?" She frowned. Well he was laying crumpled up on the ground...
No that's perfect
Thankfully, the girl had been nice enough to help him sit up from his pained position. "J-just my pride. But, who needs that, am I right?" Okay, now wasn't the time to look hurt and die on the inside of embarrassment. It was time to be cool.
He got to his feet quickly dusting off as he looked to the girl. "You okay though? None of those whackos have attacked you yet have they?"
ahaha good!
"No," That wasn't exactly true. She was threatened a couple of times by a group of them while they had guns pointed at her, and while she probably-- maybe-- could have held her own, she managed to break away in all the chaos thanks to the other pirates around. Now would have been a perfect time to have her Equalist glove at hand. "I'm fine. But you should be more careful, especially around here. I don't really know what's going on but it's definitely not safe." Obviously. She paused. "Were you also at the fountain?"
no subject
"And I have been careful! You just uh...kind of took me off guard. After all, doesn't look like there are a lot mopeds around here."
A hint of curiousity appeared on his face as she asked about the fountain. "Uh, yeah. I woke up there and had the crazies on me in about a second.
What about you?"
no subject
She considered that and looked around. Yeah, the island didn't seem like it was very advanced in technology. "I wouldn't think so. I think I'm the only one with a vehicle like this around here for now."
"Same here." Lightly closing her eyes, she furrowed a brow. She couldn't speak for everyone, but- "What are they thinking? Most of these people aren't even dangerous. I can't imagine what they're trying to accomplish by doing any of this."
no subject
"I'm gonna guess they weren't thinking. I mean the shoot on sight mentality pretty much says so.
All I know is from what a couple people told me that they think we're pirates." He folds his arms for a moment in thought. Looking up at the taller girl he quirks a brow. "Yoooou haven't been in any acts of piracy have you?"
It's not accusatory but he just thought it'd be safer to ask.
no subject
"Pirates?" That would explain a lot and would put the whole lockdown fiasco in perspective. Suddenly everything was starting to make much more sense to her. She looked surprised for a second at the question, but shook her head. "I've only been in involved in a company...the only real pirates I've seen have been on this island."
and double teaming like I promised.
"Right. Figured you were innocent too. But, you know, just checking." Looking back to the moped he got on the other side of it. "Come on, lets get this moving or we're going to get soldiers on us." But, on the visor he wore had a blip on the glass in the corner. Something was moving nearby. Cross's gaze moved towards an alley and...oh joy he could see soldiers coming.
"Uh, scratch that. I think we got them on us now."
no subject
Now what? Her eyes wandered from soldier to soldier, then down to Cross. Just by the way he dressed she couldn't be sure if they even came from the same world, but turning her head towards him, she thought it wouldn't hurt to ask. "You wouldn't happen to be a bender, would you?"
Some of the men were already starting to ready their guns.
no subject
That'd be a no, Asami. Still, this was bad. Just two of them against soldiers and this girl wasn't even armed at all. Could she even fight at all? If not he'd have to keep them both safe.
Better to be safe than sorry. "You can fight, right?"
no subject
Now was not the time for that. They had to escape before anything too serious happened. "Don't worry. It may not look like it, but I can hold my own pretty well."
Flexing her hand, she couldn't help but smirk a little at that despite the situation, bittersweet as it was. She was use to people asking that.
"If you know how to fight we can make an attempt to bust through these guys. Is that something you're up for?"
no subject
"You kidding me? I kind of make a living at knocking bad guys heads together. And partnering up? Yup, totally down for that."
And with those words, the soldiers were coming out from the alley. Thankfully enough they had not spotted them yet. It as time for a sneak attack.
no subject
blugh sorry for the shortness
s'okay!
She waved her hand again and slowly edged over in the direction the soldiers were running, pointing. "I think if we can get close enough without being seen we'll be able to disarm them from behind. We can use those weapons if we need to." No she's never seen a gun in her life... "It'll be easier for you since you have a sword."
There was also an empty shopping stand or two nearby, so if all else failed, pushing that was an option. "Are you ready?" She was and Cross was free to make his move whenever.
no subject
But, he would give her a nod in confirmation, before he started to move quickly up behind the soldiers. When he was close enough to one, WHACK! He'd hit one in the back of the head with the hilt of his sword.
One down. Four to go.
