PIRATES vs. NAVY BATTLE LOG

December 9th finds some new arrivals to this world, the same curious phenomenon that's been occurring for the past few months.

This time, however, the Navy is prepared -- or so they think.

They've got troops stationed around the island, and ships on the water to stop any arrogant, foolhardy pirates and would-be sailors from trying to make port.

So hit them with all you've got, but they're not going down easily...

Codi never planned on coming to the residential area during this battle--she hadn't been warmly welcomed when she first tried to wander around this part of the island, even at a more tranquil time, and the natives probably didn't need saving from the Navy anyways.

Or they wouldn't, if her other foreign companions didn't see fit to pick a fight with them first.

She can hear the giant's angry yells from her camp by the town center, coming in clear and terrifyingly loud over the crash of canons and magical scuffles. Now she has to see what this is all about. And perhaps she would have reacted with more enthusiasm if not for the people involved.

One is a child, which is bad enough. The other is someone Codi thought she had brought to safety--and that somehow makes her more annoyed than the former.

The masked vigilante stalks down the center of the street, eyes narrowed and shoulders squared, staring down the huddle of smaller Navy troops by the feet of their gargantuan admiral. They notice her pretty quickly, pointing and yelling as she comes to an abrupt halt some distance before them. They sound off--ready their muskets--fire a volley in her direction. But Codi is seething; the scent of ozone clings to her as if outlining the magnetic field that deflects their slugs away from her person, and she doesn't flinch.

The soldiers hesitantly start preparing another round, but this time she doesn't give them the chance. Codi holds out a hand.

"INSUFFERABLE!" shrieks the ginger, moments before the air breaks down between her palm and the metal of a poor officer's sword, and a flash of electricity arcs between them. Voltage surges through the road beneath them and sends the whole troop sprawling on their asses. The admiral probably won't react as severely as his comrades did, but the nasty shock running through his legs should be enough to annoy him.

Codi turns her attention to the teen on the roof. "Idiot!" she snaps, gesturing wildly in her frustration. "I thought I told you to run!"

Link rolled away from the crashing hand of the Navy Admiral. He had to scramble to adjust his footing as a roar of outrage followed.

The Admiral's head turned so he could see where the electricity had come from, though he seemed otherwise unfazed.

The small hero took advantage of the distraction and ran back to scurry up the giant's arm and slash at his face. He was undeterred by the interruption of the others. His goal was taking down the monster.

Hey, wait a sec, hadn't that been the Tyrant girl? Cross had only just managed to notice her before, he saw some of the soldiers aiming up at him with their guns. Jumping back bullets went flying before he looks back to the admiral.

The admiral had growled in anger before he turned his attention to the girl with the electricity. But, that distraction cost him a nasty gash across his face by the small boy. Seething with anger, the admiral went to swat the child like a fly.

There was no way they would defeat this guy just by slashing at him. He was just too big in Cross's opinion. They needed a way to bring him down.

He looked around at the surroundings, trying to find anything of use. And low and behold he saw some rope on a barrel below by where Tyrant was. That'll do. Using his grappling hook, he swung down into the streets towards the girl named, Tyrant. Snatching up the rope, he landed in front of her. "I got an idea, but it's gonna need two people." He held up the rope to her, his eyes looking over towards the giant man's legs.
