PIRATES vs. NAVY BATTLE LOG

December 9th finds some new arrivals to this world, the same curious phenomenon that's been occurring for the past few months.
This time, however, the Navy is prepared -- or so they think.
They've got troops stationed around the island, and ships on the water to stop any arrogant, foolhardy pirates and would-be sailors from trying to make port.
So hit them with all you've got, but they're not going down easily...
Party Longboat Continues Here -- ETA: Open to newbies!
Making their way through the forest and past the ruckus of the port had taken longer and been trickier than Sasuke had anticipated, and his return to the Backwater Brig was considerably less dramatic than his arrival, but hardly less irritated. They'd left a trail of disabled Navy men behind them, but this town was crawling with enough that it would be a constant job to keep the store secured for people to find and get into it, even if it seemed the Navy didn't actually know its precise location yet.
His mood was far from helped by the awareness that his chakra levels were far more drained than such a simple mission should have left them, and the fact that for all they had discussed dealing with the weapons called guns, it had turned out the enemy was armed with other, even more confusing weaponry. Whatever those collars were -- Sasuke intended to find out.
First, however: "Status," he growled impatiently, turning from the doorway to the remnants of the team that had landed by the forest.

This is probably to do with Codi not sticking around with the initial landing party; once she dawned her costume, the ginger found that traveling alone was much more productive than trying to smash her way through the troops stationed in the forest and town. Others had done a good enough job of creating that distraction for her--besides, the Tyrant was never meant to associate herself with a group outside the one she created in Granite City. Heaven forbid the Navy start targeting her own shipmates to try and force her to surrender!
Not that she's doing too well at staying anonymous. Without her perception-altering mask, Codi's costume is...pretty silly. Her bright orange hair has been tied into a tight bun atop her head, in a vain attempt to hide it beneath the bandanna that also covers the top half of her face, save the eye-holes crudely cut through the middle. She's pulled off her civilian dress and is back in the black t-shirt and jeans she arrived with, which really only Dirk has seen her in, and the whole ensemble is accentuated with a light, depressingly dull gray cloak fashioned into a cape.
"Everything should be set up for people to use," the oh-so-mysterious masked figure chirps, hands casually folded as she beams at the newcomers. "Miss Margie says hi. Have any fresh meat traveling with you?"

Fortunately for the masked girl, there hadn't been time when hurrying the newcomers away from the Nav and onto the longboat for Sasuke to learn everyone's names.
"We prioritized clearing the neighbourhood so people can get here easily," he says finally, turning his stance to deal with any outside threat, though the clearing they did has left the area free from Navy for a while. "When did you get here? ... and why are you wearing a scarf on your face?"
Part of him wants to ask how it doesn't obscure her vision, but then again, Marv's bizarre outfit supposedly has a purpose as well. Perhaps this one somehow protects her, too.
[[OOC: If you'd rather not have him know her, just let me know and I'll figure out a way. :Db]]
