PIRATES vs. NAVY BATTLE LOG

December 9th finds some new arrivals to this world, the same curious phenomenon that's been occurring for the past few months.

This time, however, the Navy is prepared -- or so they think.

They've got troops stationed around the island, and ships on the water to stop any arrogant, foolhardy pirates and would-be sailors from trying to make port.

So hit them with all you've got, but they're not going down easily...

I know he was when I last saw him, but that wasn't here. As for me, well...

[He debated keeping it to himself because he wasn't sure how Roxas would take it, but he can tell just by the look in Riku's eyes that that's not going to fly. Well, if he has to come out with it, he might as well do it in style. He holds out his free hand and --

And he must look like an idiot by now--

But finally, mercifully, he manages summon his stupid Keyblade. He spins it around once to show it off because, really, it's pretty awesome looking.]

I wasn't going to be rude and correct you two, but the name's Lea, actually. Got it memorized?

[Roxas' tone manages to snag Riku's attention pretty well. Same with the eyes. God. That's all Sora, right there.]

...Sora's fine. He's here with me.

[Then he's back to watching Lea.

And watching.

...Still watching.

He looks a little skeptical after a moment and he's about ready to say something, but then -- that.

Riku's eyes go saucer-wide.]

You have a Keyblade?? How? I—hang on. Lea?

[Axel minus the X. Riku's eyes somehow manage to get even wider.]

That means... [Blink blink.] ...Well, I guess that explains the missing tattoos.

[Roxas is confused and he's frowning and he looks between them again. Axel has a keyblade. That's so weird. Lea? Who's Lea?

His head is beginning to hurt and he puts it in his hands for a moment.]

You're not Axel? Sora's awake?

[He's not entirely sure when his world turned on its head.]

I'm not...what's happening? Am I stuck somewhere weird again?

We're all stuck somewhere weird.

[Lea lets go of Roxas' shoulder and musses up his hair instead.]

I'm sure after we get out of this mess and no one's trying to kill us, we'll all sit down and have a nice chat about it. It looks like Riku's got a head start on you, at least.

[With that, he returns his attention to Riku.]

It means exactly what you think it means, by the way.

[He'll leave it at that. Spelling it out will only confuse Roxas more.]

[Wow. That's unexpected. But...Sora had told him what Axel did for him in the end. And now Lea can wield a Keyblade...

He probably doesn't have much reason to be wary of him, if that's the case.

Riku manages a wry grin.]

Guess our adventure's far from over. Assuming we ever get back home, anyway. You're right about this place being weird.

[He takes a look around, in case there are any Navy troops trying sneak back in.]

These people think we're pirates.

[The hair ruffle is more comforting then it should be, but he's still very confused.]

Can we go chat now? Axel, I'm really confused. My head hurts.

[He tugs on Lea's shirt. He glances at Riku again, not entirely sure what to make of him. He's conflicted.]

You're not going to fight me are you?

Let's get out of here first! This isn't really the best place to talk, you know, since everyone apparently thinks we're pirates and it's "hunt down the pirate" time.

What's the plan, Riku? You're the one who's been here before.

[Apparently he's just invited himself and Roxas along whether Riku likes it or not.]

[Notices that, thanks. But doesn't do much more than roll his eyes.]

If we get back to the ship, we should be okay. Probably. It's not too far, you guys can follow me.

[He starts to leave, but then looks at Roxas one more time.]

...And no, I'm not going to fight you. There's no reason to now.

[Roxas isn't so sure about that, because he's still outside Sora, so something must be wrong. He can't be sure right now why he was fighting Riku before, but he thinks it has something to do with waking up Sora. Somehow he failed in his mission to do that.

If Sora woke up without him, maybe he didn't need Roxas at all. In that case he should have never run off, but why did he do that?

He doesn't ask any questions, he just follows Riku, lost in thought.]

[Lea follows after the other two, taking up the rear and keeping an eye out for more Navy patrols. There's probably something he should be saying to Roxas right now, but whatever it is, it just isn't coming out. Hopefully, they can catch up with Sora and sort out what's eating at the kid. It's probably best that way.]
