PIRATES vs. NAVY BATTLE LOG

December 9th finds some new arrivals to this world, the same curious phenomenon that's been occurring for the past few months.

This time, however, the Navy is prepared -- or so they think.

They've got troops stationed around the island, and ships on the water to stop any arrogant, foolhardy pirates and would-be sailors from trying to make port.

So hit them with all you've got, but they're not going down easily...

[Hey, he's not arguing with not getting hit. Internally, he thankful for the warning shot to drive home that this was not the time to argue.

He takes her hand quickly and breaks off into a run with her.]

Oh, you know! Just people who think we're pirates even if we didn't do anything! You know, your average Tuesday I guess!

My Tuesdays are nothing like this!

[ At least she's easy to yank around and soon enough she's falling into step behind him. There's no real fumble from her while they run, a hint that she's actually not that bad at moving around physically. ]

Are yours? What kind of place are you from if you have to run away from being shot at? That's horrible!

[ She's overreacting, but to be fair she's a scared out of her wits fifteen year old girl. ]

Uh, well you know, all average work in the line of a hero and all! But, it doesn't happen much I swear!

[And he was a scared out of his wits fifteen year old boy. But, for the sake of keeping this girl calm, he's trying to put on a brave front.

Pulling her inside an abandoned building, he shuts the door behind them.

With a breath of relief he looks to her.]

So, uh, hi.

[ Alone with a boy in an abandoned building. There's no way this could go wrong or be inappropriate whatsoever. ]

It doesn't happen much, huh? [ She's still caught up on his words from earlier as her arms reach out over the back of her head to stretch. ] Average work.

You're really a hero? I mean you did just save me so there's that.

[Wow, give him some credit. There's no inappropriate thoughts going on in his mind.]

Yuuup. Hardly ever get a gun pulled one me and even when I do they're a lot more dangerous looking than what those guys had.

[Which he'll gesture to the door with his thumb. He can't help but grin from ear to ear at her question though. Inwardly glowing at the comment.]

Yu-up~ bonified hero, Azure! Or you can just call me Cross. Whichever.

Azure... Cross... ahh, how confusing.

[ It's too much for her to think on so she's back to asking about what kind of work he does. ]

More dangerous than what they have? So you weren't really that scared?

[Since it didn't seem like much of a point at having secret identities at this point.]

Ah, well, sort of? I mean I did nearly get shot so kind of scary. But, not too scary when they couldn't do it again as quickly.

I can't believe they were trying to shoot at us... But we're away from them now so that's good!

[ She's trying to cheer herself up, but her shoulders continue to tremble. ]

[He tries to reassure her by placing a hand on one of her trembling shoulders. Giving a smile all the while.]

Don't worry, okay? You'll be fine. So don't get scared, okay?

[ The shaking stops at his touch until she's finally breathing normally. ]
