PIRATES vs. NAVY BATTLE LOG
December 9th finds some new arrivals to this world, the same curious phenomenon that's been occurring for the past few months.
This time, however, the Navy is prepared -- or so they think.
They've got troops stationed around the island, and ships on the water to stop any arrogant, foolhardy pirates and would-be sailors from trying to make port.
So hit them with all you've got, but they're not going down easily...

Whether you lie or whether you confess to piracy--we know your goals! Deny it all you want! We care little for it!
[Ace listened, his expression turning from amused to angry. He jumped--avoiding a few more bullets sent in his direction from the Admiral. Ace landed just a few feet from the burly soldier, his right hand cocked back. In the next moment, Ace pushed his left hand to the side, moving an oncoming barrel from lining up with his stomach. His right hand balled into a fist and smashed into the Admiral's cheek, throwing him across the pier, putting a gigantic hole in one of the Navy's docked ships.
That was hardly enough to put the guy down, but he had to admit that it felt good.]
That guy really pisses me off.

[she instantly thought of the Sol Emeralds... no, no. She'd successfully gathered them all. There was no way one of them had called her here...
... there was something else going on.
But she couldn't focus on that now. While the admiral was temporarily laid out, several of the Navymen had decided to support him... by taking aim at Ace from behind. With a wave of her hand, flames shot out, engulfing their rifles and causing the riflemen to drop their now hot-to-the-touch weapons, screaming]
... You owe me one, pirate... [she said this, stepping up beside Ace. For now, they'd fight side-by-side, at the very least]

Pirates always shirk their debts. Didn't you know that?
[As he walked--the air turned thinner and more tense around him. Ace walked through the ranks of soldiers, each man dropping to the ground, either to their knees or unconscious as he made his way through. The pressure around him would choke and stifle the will to fight out of anyone close to him who was unprepared or not strong of will.]
Don't waste your breath on somethin' I don't plan on repayin'.

[as she said that, she grit her teeth and turned back in the direction of the hole the captain had made]

But, you don't gotta worry about that. He thinks he's gonna ambush us, so he's stayin' quiet.
[He didn't have to use his will to predict that. Ace saw how the admiral landed in the wreckage. He could tell the guy hadn't lost consciousness.]

... Nevertheless, we must put him down. A hostage would undoubtedly do a great deal to end this conflict!

Anyway--
[The wind turned freezing from the Admiral's anger. From the depths of the ship, the Admiral stood up, holding two elephant rifles with nearly a hundred small rounds packed into the chambers. When he lit the strings for both, Ace pushed forward, his entire body exploding in flames.]
Flame Mirror! [Between second A and second B, he threw his right arm forward, pouring flames into a gigantic, spiraling wall of flame that covered a majority of the pier. The Admiral fired, Ace's flames melting the bullets down and stopping them before they could strike anything.]

The Admiral, of course, let out a choking grunt and gasp the moment the back of his head struck the pier. Briefly, he seemed to go limp.
Ace finally landed on the pier, his flames still trailing in the air, though they were spiraling back to him once more.]]

... and then she twisted in mid-air, and fell back, doing a flaming elbow drop down at her opponent]

The Admiral buckled and his body cracked the wood beneath his back, sending up dust, water, flames and a bit of blood as Blaze's elbow struck him dead on, forcing every last bit of air out of him. He hung in the air for a moment before his body went completely still, save for a few unconscious breaths. There was no way he was getting up after that.]

Your leader is defeated! I, Princess Blaze the Cat, demand that your forces evacuate this area immediately, in exchange for his safe return!
For now... I will consider this island under my protection!

This island ain't yours. Thank the pirates that made it possible for you to live and breathe today. A half dozen crews have come in to help you rookies.
If you take up a Jolly Roger, then we'll see about your audacious claim.
[He grinned to the brim and burst into flames, vanishing from sight at that.]
