PIRATES vs. NAVY BATTLE LOG

December 9th finds some new arrivals to this world, the same curious phenomenon that's been occurring for the past few months.

This time, however, the Navy is prepared -- or so they think.

They've got troops stationed around the island, and ships on the water to stop any arrogant, foolhardy pirates and would-be sailors from trying to make port.

So hit them with all you've got, but they're not going down easily...

[She nod slightly as she started to at least jog at best.]

So I'm to expect that around here? [She didn't sound surprised at having to fight, in fact she was kind of use to it.] I can get use to that.

[booyaka_boom]

I guess! But you sure look like you know what you're doing, so I'm not gonna worry about you!

*Selphie grins at the other girl and jogs along until they can find a place of relative safety and quiet*

I know how to take care of myself, if that is what you mean?

[She son spots a place, she just kind of hopes that it's empty and that there won't be an ambush or something. Making her way this is the first thought on her mind.]

[booyaka_boom]

Yup! Pretty much! That kick thing you can do is so totally cool!

*And yes, there's even a small squee of excitement from Selphie just then*

So you just wound up here, right?

Uh... Thank you. [She's never really been complimented on her fighting style before, she honestly wasn't sure what to do or say.]

I did. Last thing I remember was I was with a dear friend of mine, then I came here.

*She gives the girl a sympathetic nod*

Yeah. Your friends might turn up here sometime though. You never really know. Meantime, I'm Selphie.

*Selphie smiles and sticks out a hand*

[She holds out her own hand and shakes it firmly.]

I'm Lenalee. I hope my friends do arrive as well, but I'll try not to get my hopes to high up.

[booyaka_boom]

Nice to meet you Lenalee!

*Selphie nods at this, but she's still smiling*

If if they don't show up, I bet you'll get loads of new friends here. Guess you haven't found yourself a crew yet?

[bloodheels]

Not yet, but then again.

[She points around, considering what is going on, one really doesn't have the time to look.]

A lot is going on.

[booyaka_boom]

*Selphie nods at that, smiling a little*

Yeah, that's true. You guys didn't arrive at the best time, really! But don't worry! I think the Navy are retreating...

[bloodheels]

Well that's a relief really.

[She sighs a little, that was good at least.]

[booyaka_boom]

*Selphie smiles at her then moves away, looking around to make sure the coast is clear*

Yeah, I think we'll be okay.

[bloodheels]

[She nods, looking around herself for god measure. Better to have two eyes watching than just one pair after all. Once she felt calm enough, she sighed.]

At least we're safe for now.

[booyaka_boom]

*Selphie smiles and breathes a sigh of relief*

I'm glad. This thing has been totally crazy, and I'm not so used to fighting as much anymore.

*She glances down at Lenalee's feet and points*

So are those boot things like a special weapon or something?

[bloodheels]

[Lenalee sadly though was still use to fighting. But at the mention of her boots, she looked down at her bangles or anklets.]

You mean those?

[She points to them, wondering if that really what she meant, because it seemed obvious.]

Uh, yes in my world they are.

[booyaka_boom]

Cool! You think I could get some of them? They're kinda awesome! I've love to be able to kick and jump like that! You sure showed those Navy guys!

*So much eye sparkles and smiling*

[She shakes her head, that was an easy enough question to be able to answer.]

Not really, no. You see my bangles are what back home was known as innocence, a object that holds power. It only connects with certain type of people called accommodaters and it's what we use to fight.

[booyaka_boom]

Aww, really?

*She pouts a little, not particularly impressed with this information*

That's a shame! You're really lucky that you got that connection!

[bloodheels]

[She puts on a smile for now, she wouldn't call it lucky, not at all. She'd call it a curse if she had to. She hated it, but it was the only way to help her friends and so she agreed to sync with it.]

I wouldn't call it luck exactly. It does mean you can;t do anything else but fighting and being on the front lines all the time.

Seriously? Nothing else? At all? Not ever?

*Selphie pouts a little at this - she loves fighting, but that doesn't sound like the best fun ever*

[She shakes her head.]

Nothing else. You wouldn't be allowed to leave at all.

What? Are you serious? But respite is one of the most important things for a solider, or any kinda fighter! How are you supposed to battle properly if you're just tired all the time?

[bloodheels]

[Ah, there is some misunderstanding here and Lenalee bows slightly.]

I think you misunderstood what I meant. We do get breaks when not on missions, the whole you can't leave thing is the place in which I work. The Black Order once they find someone with innocence will never allow them to leave the Order.

*Yup, Selphie had definitely misunderstood, but she looks very relieved to hear it*

That's not so bad! You think you'd rather have a different job then?

[bloodheels]

[She didn't know the answer to that, she choose to stay to protect what she cherishes most, but she still wasn't fond of the order or innocence itself, but if she had the choice, would she still choose to stay? probably.]

I think when it's all over, probably.
