PIRATES vs. NAVY BATTLE LOG

December 9th finds some new arrivals to this world, the same curious phenomenon that's been occurring for the past few months.

This time, however, the Navy is prepared -- or so they think.

They've got troops stationed around the island, and ships on the water to stop any arrogant, foolhardy pirates and would-be sailors from trying to make port.

So hit them with all you've got, but they're not going down easily...

Look, I'm not leaving anyone behind. [Skids to a stop and folds her arms.] Why do you think I came to get you in the first place?

[Blaze eyed her with a small amount of annoyance]

Then please, tell me, which of us is a normal person and which of us has supernatural powers?

Don't you take that tone with me. You're worse than the Doctor. Fine then, since you've got "supernatural" powers, what can you do, yeah?

I just generated flames and carried us to safety using super speed.

Oh, that.

[You mean not all talking cats can do that?]

[She is disappointed.]

[Still cooler than the cat-nurses though.]

I just figured you had a compressed pocket flamethrower and specialized motor boots. [See? Normal.]

... pocket... specialized...?

[she let out a frustrated growl]

Look, that's not important. Either way, I can take care of myself. You, however? Are at far more risk.

Don't dismiss my capabilities. I can hold my own. [Super serious mode.] Do you even know what side is right in this whole affair yet?

... No, but that doesn't mean I can side with the one side that everyone is fighting, now does it?

Then why take sides? They mistook you and me for pirates, maybe there are a lot of other innocents too. Adding to the fighting won't stop it.

[Folds her arms and taps her foot.]

... Not fighting them isn't the same as siding with them.

So then you'd be siding with both.

From my perspective, it seems I would be siding with neither.
