[His eyes are wide, wow an aligator? What's that? He moves closer to Pinkie Pie so he can get closer to look at him.]

Hi Gummy. You seem nice. What does Gummy like to eat?

[This is the perfect moment for Gummy to try and bite Roxas' nose! But he has no teeth!]

Anything! He likes cake the best, though! Especially birthday cake!

[He nods, makes sense, maybe cake is what pets like. He's quick enough not to get gummed on, but he offers his finger instead of his nose.]

Maybe I should let Xifer have some cake. What's that anyway? Birthday cake?

[He's startled by her reaction, but he's getting used to all kinds of different personalities.]

I don't know, what's a birthday? Should I have one?

...oh no... [She shakes her head and sits in place.]

We need to have The Talk. [Pinkie pats the space on the ground. Never mind that it's in the middle of the sidewalk.]

[Of course, Roxas sits obediently.]

[Now that he's seated, she can begin!]

When a mommy and daddy love each other A LOT a lot, the stork comes and brings them their tiny filly or colt one day! [Rubs her head] I guess it's a baby human for you! Anyway, when that day comes, it's their birthday! The day they came into their parent's lives! Each year, they celebrate that day with lotsa food, BUT!!

[Pinkie leans in with a serious look on her face.]

Most importantly, there is a cake that is the BEST EVER CAKE for that special day! It's usually different each year, but it's really special!

So that is a birthday, and THAT is birthday cake!

[His eyes widen. Oh yeah he was going to ask more about this!]

So wait, how does the stork know you a mommy and daddy love each other a lot? That's what parents are called, right? What kinds of food do you get besides cake? Is cake sweet like ice cream? What if you don't have parents, can you have a birthday?

These are really great questions!

The stork is magical, so it knows! Sometimes we say guardians, too, if somepony doesn't have parents. And even if you don't have parents, you can still have a birthday! Cake is usually sweet, but I've never heard of a cake that wasn't! I bet one is out there somewhere! OH OH!! There's ice cream cake, too! I think I like that kinda cake the best of all! Birthday parties have all SORTSA food, not just cake! it's usually your favorite foods!

Wait! You can have ice cream cake?! Even sea salt ice cream? That's my favourite food!

[He grins a little and scratches his head.]

I don't have any guardians either..I guess that's why I don't have a birthday. Unless Xemnas was my guardian, but I don't really like him.

What kind of magic does the stork use?

Well, everypony has a birthday, no matter what! If you want, I can share my birthday with you! We could have a lot of fun!

Nopony knows! Not even Princess Celestia! [MAYBE!!]

I don't know, then I must have a birthday too, but I don't know it. I should ask Lea, he knows everything. He was there the day I appeared out of nowhere.

Maybe I don't have one, because I'm a Nobody. I don't know, it's kind of confusing.

If you don't know it, then pick one! It's okay if it isn't the right day, since you're gonna get a year older no matter what!

[Headtilt] A no body? But every body is a body! [Pinkie gives him a slightly concerned smile before patting his arm.] I think you're thinking too much about it! Birthdays are pretty simple!

Really? I don't know, I never had a birthday before. Then again, I guess I'm not very old, am I?

I have to think about what day I should pick. I've been here a year and a bit now.

No, I just mean alive, I guess! I was in Twilight Town just over a year ago. I'm not very old.
