☠Twelfth Reel: January Log!

[Roxas is the least creepy person, really.]

Like practice? I can do that!

[That has yet to be proven.]

Then let's go. [He's caught enough of a second wind by now.]

[Roxas hops down off the railing and takes a spot in front of him.]

One sword or two?

[formerabyssinian]

[So, he has two swords...]

Two. [It'll be interesting, surely. He doesn't know Roxas' fighting style, so he'll have to be on his guard for anything.]

[He holds out two hands to his sides and Oathkeeper and Oblivion, light and dark keyblades are summoned, one in each hand.]

[Those swords look...very strange. He's sure damage can definitely be done with them, but he'll still be careful. Or as careful as he gets.]

[Aya doesn't waste much more time before charging in quickly, intent on making a horizontal slash to start.]

[Roxas deflects with one keyblade and swings the other towards Aya's middle. Defense isn't really his style, he prefers to be on the offensive.]

[The only possible way to avoid the blade is to use all his strength to push against the sword he's crossed with in order to throw off the other one.]

[It's a good strategy, Aya is bigger than Roxas, and possibly stronger and it's surprising enough to get him to jump back to avoid the pressure, putting space between them. He charges back in after a moment, both blades dragging on the deck behind him as raises them. He's coming in from above at an angle, he'll go right then left, using a barrage tactic.]

[Aya sees the angle and makes a forward roll under Roxas, avoiding the attack before it lands. As he rolls onto his feet, now behind Roxas, and rushes in, aiming for the back of his knees. He won't use the sharp side of his sword, fortunately.]

[Aya makes contact, but just. Roxas isn't the type of person to put up with being caught from behind. Oathkeeper is dug into the floor and he uses the sword to swing himself around and slash Oblivion at Aya from his side. His techniques lack refinement and practice, a little rough around the edges, but Roxas is fast and agile which makes up for it.]

[Aya likes Roxas' moves. He finds that the less refined moves are signs of being mostly self taught. Nothing wrong with that, since it works.]

[He ducks down under the appraoching blade, and sweeps his foot across the floor in order to dislodge that blade Roxas is using to swing on.]

[That was unexpected and when the blade gives out, he lands on the deck with a yelp, more of surprise than anything. Oathkeeper falls to the ground away from him and he blinks at Aya. What just happened there?]

[Aya quickly stands at his full height after making contact, ready for the next blow, but didn't expect Roxas to be blinking up at Aya. Now Aya was doing it, too.]

...you're not good at tumbling to your feet.

I was surprised! And off balance, I guess.

[He gets up and grumbles a bit. His keyblade vanishes from the deck and reappears in his hand. He has to admit, that was a good move Aya.]

You're going to be surprised all the time, then. [Enemies were unpredictable, and they don't know their enemies to boot.]

[The trick he did with recalling his weapon like that is pretty neat. He wonders if that could be learned...]

It's your turn.

[His experience fighting people is admittedly limited, however fighting heartless was something more his speed. It was okay, he takes a deep breath and tries another stance. He holds his keyblades in front of him, one crossed over the other before charging in again, this time swinging both, as though to make an 'x' over his torso should he get a good strike in. It's good for damage, bad for defense.]

[It's a good attack stance, he admits. Aya decides to run in as well before leaping over him with a somersault, twisting enough to face Roxas's back upon landing. He'll go into a roundhouse kick right after.]

[Whoa whoa whoa. There's no way he can let Aya stay at his back. He swings around and is met by the kick, taking it in the shoulder. He wasn't fast enough to break his swing and move before getting hit. He grunts but jumps backwards to put space between them.

Aya is a good fighter, and he really needs to start thinking of defense, which is really not Roxas' strong suit. That attack isn't going to help him and he goes back into it, swinging one keyblade, then the other, Oathkeeper moving diagonally from above and Oblivion following suit from below.]

[Aya takes a stance as Roxas charges in with his blades. He makes sure his own blade is turned backwards, blunt side outwards.]

[He steps back from the attacks, feeling the wind rush from the blades pass in front of his face before charging in himself, timing it hopefully right so that Roxas's arms are still crossed. He'll rush at Roxas with his shoulder with all his might.]

[Since Aya has seen his speed, it's not hard to make the adjustment to catch Roxas before he can complete his movement. He was just separating his arms when Aya charges in and he's suitably surprised.

His reaction is to scoot backwards to give himself space, but if Aya realizes and keeps charging, he'll strike Roxas.]

[Aya will only keep pushing him back until a certain point, where he'll give on final push and try to disarm Roxas by hitting one of his wrists with the blunt side of his blade.]

[Roxas stumbles a little, and the blade makes contact. He hisses a bit, dropping Oblivion. No matter though, he'll just swing Oathkeeper at his blade instead.]

[Now they are evenly matched, Aya smirks and goes in for a diagonal slash attack going upwards.]

[He met his blade with as much might as he could, but he's not quite as strong with his left hand as he is with his right. If he's using one keyblade, it's usually in his right, but that strike's probably going to bruise, and it hurts left just to keep things the way they are.

After this block, he'll use one of his tricks, it's quick footwork and he's intending to be at Aya's back, ready to swing his blade again.]
