What: Crew shenanigans, both light-hearted and serious, while the rest of the ships prepare for and do battle with the witch.

The Antoinette is a strange ship to be on. The (wise) decision was made not to go into battle, so it has been offered as a safe haven for those unable or unwilling to join the fight against the witch.

The air of light-heartedness found might, at times, feel forced, and it is a bit. The residents have only their morale to keep them going, so that's what they rely upon.


(Please feel free to either reply to the subject headers provided or make your own! This is just a general mingle log for anyone on the Antoinette. If your character is a non-combatant who wouldn't want to go into the fight or someone injured and unable to join the fight, Kyouya has publicly offered passage, so feel free to handwave being there.

[She feels downright awful when she sees his leg. How had he broken it? She wants to ask, but that might be prying. However when he makes such a simple request, Haruhi manages a warm smile and cuts up an apple for him.]

Here you go! Are you comfortable?

[A pause.]

What's your name?

[breaks_pots]

[He took the slices with a frown and a shrug.]

I'm Link. I'm not comfortable. My leg is broken. It hurts and it itches and it won't move right and there aren't any fairies here to heal me.

[Link downed an apple slice in a couple bites.]

You should put apples into more of the food.

[haruhi_fujioka]

[His answer makes her sad. She quickly looks around and finds a stick.]

Here, use this to scratch the itches. Just don't push too hard. That would hurt.

[She then grabs a towel, folds it and gently lifts his leg so it is supported on one of the boxed.]

Don't let it hang down like that. The blood will rush to it and make it hurt more.

As for fairies… I've never met one. Do they really exist?

[He took the stick and while he was ready to talk at her about the blood rushing and all that, her last question caught him off guard. It was a very shocking question to him.]

Of course they do!

What do they look like? [She is fascinated.] Can they really heal something this bad?

[breaks_pots]

Of course they can. They can bring someone back from the brink of death. But only if they're healing fairies. Guardian fairies are different. Healing fairies look just like the other fairies, but their glow is red and they like to hide. I think they like the dark more than other fairies.

[haruhi_fujioka]

That's…amazing! [Aw she wants to see one! If they're as cute as Link - and he is cute.] They do say rest is the best medicine and what better time to rest than when it's dark?

[breaks_pots]

They do? Who are they?

[haruhi_fujioka]

Doctors? […physicians? Healing people?]

[breaks_pots]

[Yeah, no. Never heard of doctors.]

Are they a different race of people?

[haruhi_fujioka]

Not at all! [She laughs and shakes her head.] They're people who have training to treat wounds and other illnesses.

[breaks_pots]

Oh. You mean like Mister Sasuke and Draco. They took care of my leg after it broke. Why are they called doctors? That's a funny title.

[haruhi_fujioka]

Maybe? If they have training and a degree…

[No don't make it difficult.]

They're also called physicians or healers.

[breaks_pots]

[Healers he absolutely understood.]

Mister Sasuke calls himself a ninja and Draco calls himself a wizard.

[He gave a single, firm nod as he smiled up at her and ate his apple slices.]

[haruhi_fujioka]

So he can…do magic…? [She needs to sit down.]

[breaks_pots]

Yeah! He can unlock doors without needing a key and do other fun spells!

[She can sit next to the excited kid. Let him tell her all about his friend.]

[haruhi_fujioka]

I've never seen anything like that before. [She does indeed sit beside him, looking caught between disbelief and wonder.] I think I would like to.

[breaks_pots]

He uses a wand to cast spells and says funny words like 'alohamora'.

[He is mispronouncing that, but he doesn't realize it because Draco has that funny accent.]

And things happen! Sometimes he doesn't even have to say words. He just swishes his wand and Boof! Something happens!

[haruhi_fujioka]

Aloha…mora? [Like what they say in Hawaii?] What does that spell do? [Greet people?]

You said his name is Draco? What does he look like?

[breaks_pots]

He's tall, really tall! And skinny and he's got almost white hair and he almost always holds his shoulders back. Sometimes he's a little stiff, but I think he's used to standing a lot. And he's really nice and smiles a lot. I can draw a picture for you!

Ah! Alohamora opens locked doors!

[haruhi_fujioka]

That's okay. [She wonders if he looks a bit like Tamaki. Or Nekozawa.] I just wondered if I would know him if I saw him.

[…oh.] Any locked door? [That could be dangerous.]

[breaks_pots]

I'll introduce you when we're all on Isla Empieza sometime. And yeah, I think it works on any locked door. It worked on the one I was locked behind.
