[Riku probably should've done this sooner, but the past couple of days have been a little crazy with the candies making everyone go bonkers and then Ace having them set sail all of a sudden. He hasn't been avoiding talking to Natsuno...not really.

...Maybe a little.

But he knows Natsuno is scheduled for watch duty right now, so it seems like as good a time as any. He makes his way over to the Sun from the Moon, then climbs up to the crow's nest and pokes his head over the edge.]

Hey Riku.

[Natsuno smiles, amused at his antics. It's pretty hard to sneak up on him as it is. Vampire and all.]

This is a pleasant surprise.

[darknessinside]

[Smiles back, though it's weak, then ducks his head and grunts as he pulls himself up into the crow's nest.]

Yeah, I—had some time. And I knew you'd be up here.

I'm here, just like I should be.

[He reaches out to take Riku's arm to help steady him as he climbs up.]

[Plops down across from him, scratching his head.]

So... How've you been?

[reluctantjinrou]

Fine, we've set sail again, so chores and whatnot.

[He takes a seat again, blinking at the distance between them but doesn't comment.]

[darknessinside]

Right, yeah. Chores.

[WELP, he's only delaying it at this point. Riku drops his hand and exhales, looking up at Natsuno.]

Actually, Natsuno, I came over here because I needed to talk to you.

[reluctantjinrou]

[He arches an eyebrow.]

Okay..what about?

[darknessinside]

Valentine's Day?

[He sounds somewhat helpless and gestures randomly.]

Those candies that were—everywhere.

[reluctantjinrou]

I remember, I noticed. I didn't have any though, that's not really my kind of sugar. Why, did you eat some?

[darknessinside]

[Shakes his head.]

Sora did.

[Takes a breath.]

I kissed Sora.

[reluctantjinrou]

[Natsuno stares at him a moment.]

Because of the candy?

[darknessinside]

...The first time.

[His voice drops off into a whisper by the end of that sentence, and he watches Natsuno warily.]

[Natsuno's eyes widen as he takes that in. There was candy and somehow they kissed and then they did it again, at least once. This isn't the conversation he expected when Riku came up here, not at all.]

[reluctantjinrou]

[He can't really bite back the exclamation or the narrowing of his eyes.]

What the hell, Riku?!

[darknessinside]

[Winces, his eyes squeezing shut for a moment.]

I know, I know! I'm sorry!

[Opens them again, looking at him straight on.]

Natsuno, I am so sorry, it just—I don't know what happened. He kissed me out of nowhere and then said it was because of some stupid candy and then we were arguing and he said something and I—

[Drags one hand over his face.]

I don't...have any good excuse. There isn't an excuse.

[He's sorry, but he's also right, there's no excuse. He can't stop staring at him, but his mouth is pulled into a tight frown. It's hard to have something to say. There are a lot of things he wants to say but at the same time he's afraid of the answer.]

So you kissed Sora.

[He says this flatly.]

[darknessinside]

[Swallows.]

Yes.

[reluctantjinrou]

[He has to ask questions, he can't just sit here staring at Riku, although that might be preferable.]

...And?

[It's the best he could manage, he's avoiding the question he has to ask.]

[darknessinside]

And...I don't know.

[Weak. Riku frowns, but it's mostly directed at himself.]

We haven't exactly talked about it much. It's been weird since.

I don't know what you want me to say here Riku. Do you want me to give you my blessing?

[He crosses his arms.]

[darknessinside]

[Frowns more.]

No. I don't want you to say anything. You just...deserved to know. I guess.

[reluctantjinrou]

[Unfortunately, he's losing his temper and Riku's not going to get off that easily. Especially when he tells him he doesn't want him to say anything.]

So, what now, you want to be with him? What are your plans here? Did you come here to break up with me?

[darknessinside]

[It's not like he thought this was going to be easy anyway, and if he were in Natsuno's shoes right now he has no idea what he'd be doing. So he can hardly blame him.

But those questions are...hard.

He slumps back against the side of the crow's nest, his eyes lowering.

When he speaks, the words come slowly and deliberately, like he's carefully thinking about what he wants to say.]

It's not about wanting to be with him, that's... I don't even know where his head is at right now, but whatever he's thinking or feeling has nothing to do with this. And it wouldn't change the way I feel about you.

[He draws in a long breath.]

....That being said, I don't know if it's...fair...to you. To stay together.

[reluctantjinrou]

[Natsuno stares at him some more, frowning. He's trying to keep his emotion out of it before answering.]

So, did you lie to me before then?

[More then that, he feels a little insulted.]

All the crap you gave me about Tohru, and this is what happens?

[darknessinside]

[Tenses, looking up again, and part of him bristles at being accused of lying but the bigger part of him knows he deserves whatever Natsuno says to him.]

Hey, I never lied to you. And—

[His brow furrows as he tries to quickly run through the various conversations they've had about Tohru, but it ends with him making a face and rubbing the bridge of his nose.]

What does Tohru even have to do with this...
