The contents of Flynn's money pouch had been replaced. Where once gald coins had been were now unfamiliar coins... Flynn assumed they must be this place's currency or else he didn't know why else it'd be in his money pouch.

His eyes swept across the round table they all stood at, at all the other people from their world (that they knew of) before emptying the contents of his pouch on the table in front of them.

"This is all I have. If we're going to get a ship big enough for all of us and with the most facilities to make our voyage as comfortable as possible, I think we'll have to each chip in."

"I'll put in what I can too! After I got a new journal to chronicle our journeys in, I mean."

Which means Estelle doesn't have quite as much to contribute, but really, the journal wasn't that expensive. She agrees to the idea though. Unless they all put in something, they wouldn't likely have nearly enough money to get themselves a ship to start on looking for these shards. She reaches and places her own pouch on the table, though not yet emptying it. Really, she is relieved to see her friends gathered like this. It's reassuring to know they are here as well. However dangerous things might be here, she is sure together they will figure things out and come through it all.

"I'm not sure if that will be enough though. We might need a bit more. I'm sure we have enough between all of us though, to get ourselves a really big, nice ship!"

Flynn nods. "I think we should aim to have cabins for each and every member of the crew. Unless anyone of you would prefer to share rooms with someone else."

"Not ideal if I'm going to get any real research going into the weird magic of this place. You don't want a lab like that in someone else's bedroom."

Which of course meant Rita planned to sleep in her lab, just like back in Aspio.

Not the healthiest choice by any measure...

"But, um....that doesn't mean you want to sleep in your lab, right? I'm sure we could figure out a separate room for that, Rita.....that might mot be very safe for you or anyone else to sleep in there."

Because who knows what she might end up getting into with her research. Estelle doesn't want to take any chances, even as she definitely agrees with Flynn there that they should probably all have their own little space at least.

Have I mentioned I hate having two accounts for the same character sometimes?

"It's more efficient to be able to just stop and rest without extra steps..."

... Of course, Rita knew she wasn't going to win this argument.

I can imagine. I just have one for each of mine myself.

"Those extra steps could also be efficient in keeping you and the rest of us safe, Rita. I just wouldn't want you getting hurt or something because you are sleeping in there when it might be dangerous with your research, that's all....."

Of course Estelle is concerned and still gently pressing the issue, not going to let it slide too easily if it involves Rita's safety, that of their group as a whole even.

With a bit more excitement and eagerness than was probably warranted, Raven quickly chimed in, "I wouldn't mind sharing a room with Judith darlin'!"

His response should not have been a surprise. Not that he wouldn't mind having his own room, but why waste such a golden opportunity?

"I don't see why not. I mean. If Judith doesn't mind, that is."

Because of course they can't make that call without checking with the other prospective room-mate. It would seem the implication and excitement there goes over Estelle's head, at least initially for the time being as she simply turns to Judith curiously, waiting for her response.

"Judith? Would that be okay?"

Estelle would not blame her for saying no. She herself has proximity concerns where Raven is involved, after all.

Judith has been keeping quiet in the back for most of the planning and debates, a soft smile and agreeable attitude displayed as per usual with her. Of course, she chimes in when addressed and when her special brand of advice is needed. And oh, would you look at that? She's being addressed, and in perhaps the most interesting subject to come to the table yet.

Her smile dips into a slight frown as she watches Raven pitch his idea. She balls her hand up into a fist and cracks it, then proceeds to do it with the other hand, back and forth as her lips once again curve back into a grin.

"Oh, if Raven thinks he can handle me, then by all means," she offers back, eyes glinting playfully. Raven and Estelle both know her well, but not well enough to know if she's joking. A bad liar she claims to be, but that's all part of the mystery. It's not as if this is something that will come to pass, and even if it does Judith doesn't sleep most of the night anyway.

So why not have some fun with it?

Hearing Estelle actually agree to his crazy idea almost made him want to clarify that he was just joking. But Judith was already cracking her knuckles.

Oh boy.

Still, although he may have swallowed a bit, he can still carry on a grin and play along until it got a little too hot for him to handle.

"Might depend on the handlin'. Ya know I prefer a gentle touch, Judith darlin'."

His words were still in step with hers, which was basically giving double meaning.

"Can't do much without a boat, so I guess I'll chip in."

It's not like it really was a big deal to Yuri, but he also knew they needed enough for food and basic necessities. Aside from that, he really didn't care. But almost carelessly, Yuri placed his amount he'd contribute on the table, coins rolling in all directions. Somehow they all stayed on the table, but hey, whatever. Still, for what Yuri had, he felt he was being pretty generous. Then again, he'd rather they not get split up.

"Thank you, Yuri! I'm not sure how much it will be, but you're right. We do need this. I'm not sure how long they might let us stay here if necessary. Every little bit will help, really!"

Of course Estelle was focusing more on this, on keeping them together rather than thinking of the rest of the supplies they would also need. But she is relieved that Yuri is helping, that this definitely seems like they will get to stick together.

"It's the guild for all and all for the guild, right? I don't think it necessarily matters where we are, our laws should still be upheld."

It's because they're in some strange place he thought they needed to be upheld like this. Even if they haven't found the Captain (assuming he's even here) it's something they needed to do. They weren't going to get separated. Not on Yuri's watch.

"Right! Exactly!"

Estelle agrees, clapping her hands together in front of her with a smile. Of course Karol would naturally be their usual leader of sorts, but she is relieved that in this much at least, they all agree on this being a priority; gaining a ship. And she would be rather upset if they were to separate onto different crews, even if they could still contact each other via the journals. In this new world, all they had of familiarity was each other.

"It's funny though, we're in a new world yet this is pretty much exactly what we did back home. Well, aside from buying a boat. If only we could get a boat as payment from someone like we did from them."

Them being Fortune's Market, but he figured she knew what he was talking about. Still, it's weird to him. Yet there's still that familiarity of being together. It's probably why he's not worried too much. Still, given it's an unfamiliar world, he's been making sure miss ADD hasn't been running off herself. This was a good chance to make sure she stuck with them.

"I guess I'm the odd one out then. Being a knight and all," Flynn says with a smile. "But that's a thought... if someone needs help in island or wouldn't mind some favors in exchange for more money or even a whole ship..."

"I'll pitch in what I have, too," Raven said as he set his own bag down, "but keep in mind we'll be needin' provisions as well. Anyone know how much one of these things cost?"

If it was anything like back home, it was going to be quite a bit. Fortunately there were six of them, which was more than enough to crew a small ship, but as he was wont to do, Raven was making sure they weren't spending too much. It wouldn't do if they had a ship but nothing else.

"And a bunch of other equipment, besides. I mean, I don't know if you took a look on board the Fiertia's equipment rooms..."

"Not really," Raven said, "but now you got me wondering what kind of equipment you're wantin' now."

"Quite a bit, ideally. We basically want a mobile lab if I'm going to develop anything useful while we're out, after all. Proper sail traveling sounds like it'll be a lot slower than relying on Ba'ul, after all."

Somehow, just somehow he knew she was going to bring up a lab.

"While I'm all for kids goin' out and innovatin' new ideas for the world, I'm not sure if we'll be able ta afford it right now. Besides," he added with a jovial grin, "there's nothin' wrong with ol' fashion sailin'!"

He then went into his usual dramatic flair, hands and arms moving as if to accentuate his words. "Pitchin' the sails, swabbin' the decks, bein' at the mercy of the tides and winds—! Makes ya feel like a real sailor."

"Flynn knows."

It's a matter of fact statement from Yuri. Given the situation, he'd trust Flynn with their money and plans. He got up in the ranks somehow, so yeah.

"We'll make sure we don't overspend though. Wouldn't be too fun to go out without food."

[rainofheaven]

"Well Flynn's probably the most responsible one out of all of us, so I'll trust him." Except for certain other things. But money? The kid should be able to handle.

"But we shouldn't let him do everything. You kids can go divvy up who should do what and I'll stay here to hold down the fort."

You're hilarious, Old Man...

"So you're not joining our crew? Well then, guess we'll just leave you here. Have fun."

Welp, so much for that. Still, he knows the Old Man and a certain contract they're under... Of course he's going to silently use that as leverage!

"Hey now, that's not what I meant at all! I just meant I'll wait here and guard our things while you all go out and get everything set up."
