Masquerade Ball - Totally not an ambush
Who: Anyone going to the Corsair Island Masquerade Ball!

When: April 26th - 27th (Early AM)
What: The Masquerade Ball + Ambush (12am)
Warnings: D for dancing, V for violence, A for Ace, L for Luffy
Style: Action or prose.
Status: Open to anyone attending!

You know, that reminds me of the date that I'd like to have with a friend of mine.
[Kodachi smiled at Luffy, quirking her head to one side coquettishly.]
It would be nice to dance around a bonfire by the beach. The sand in one's toes, and the moon and stars aglow . . . Ah, bliss!

Kodacchan?! [Peer peer. She looked a lot different than he expected and not like a fence at all! ...and she was talking about a date. With bonfires and sand and stuff. Which was exciting! But at the same time--
Wow it's weird his legs are all wiggly

[She beamed at him, clapping her hands together. How exciting to finally be able to meet a friend!]

Sanji says that's what people do if they date. [sort of. He may have mixed things around a bit] But I don't want to cuz it's kind of weird.
[curls his toes a little. Yes he still is wearing sandals, why do you ask?]
But I'm glad to see Kodacchan, too!
[even if it is a little scary. Sort of like Nami is scary but in a different way]

Perhaps it's because he's a cook and he feels that people should exercise their sense of taste on each other. [Which is just strange, okay.] You probably shouldn't listen to him; he seems a bit strange. [Yes, that was the pot calling the kettle black.]
[She sank into a deep curtsy, peering up at him from beneath thick lashes.]

[fist palm! That makes a lot of sense! No wonder he liked licking Zoro so much. And Zoro used the sword in his mouth sometimes, too, so it all worked out. Mystery solved. He laughs a little though]
Sanji's really weird. But he's really smart, too.
[Another song starts up and Luffy dumps the rest of the tiny chicken legs into his mouth before dusting off his hands]

[Somehow she understood his question and nodded once, positively glowing with glee.]

[She held out her hand for him to take, her lips quirking in a smile.]

[he swallows and takes her hand. It takes him a little bit to get situated. He practiced a lot with Marco and got far enough to stop stepping on his feet which is good for Kodachi, though once he has an arm around her waist he'll pull her a little hard and fairly energetically into the dance]
This is the fun part. [nod] But I wish the music was faster.

[She pulled away and struck the first pose, her hands held above her head and hips cocked.]

[Kodachi would've crashed in an ungainly heap on the floor if she didn't expect it, but it was good he was just standing there; she pressed against him and bounced (well, okay, not bounced) off him and onto the floor, landing in a perfect split. 10/10.]

[Kodachi sighed, tutting slightly. It looked like it was up to her to teach him the proper steps and passion of the paso doble.]
[From her split, she drew her legs together and stood up effortlessly.]
