Masquerade Ball - Totally not an ambush

[She glided toward him, slipping her small hand into his and dipping down in a bow before straightening up.]

You have freckles. How cute!

[Ace did all the right steps. He took Kodachi's hand and put one arm around her waist and began to lead. Despite that, he still looked a bit sullen about drawing attention to his freckles.]

Really? My freckles? That's not a discussion on the table, y'know.

You don't like them? You could cover them with makeup.

[Kodachi sighed delicately, allowing him to spin and dip her as per the music, flowing gracefully into the steps. He was a talented dancer, and as was she. They were already beginning to get an audience, and Kodachi reveled in the attention.]

But I don't see why you would. They're the cutest!

[His lower lip hung for a moment. Ace did his best to not make a face, but it was impossible to avoid. Really? Make-up? The least manly thing he could put on his face.]

They're just spots. For my sake, you should pretend they don't exist.

[Even if he felt sullen, it wasn't impeding his dancing at all. Each step was natural and simple as he lead and followed Kodachi depending on their pace.]

[The look on his face made her burst out into laughter. He was pouting, like an adorable little boy!]

Alright, alright, if it will put you at ease!

[But no, she'd never let him forget it. This was blackmail material.]

[She tapped his nose with amusement.]

[Suddenly, Ace dipped Kodachi with that tight frown still woven into his cheeks.]

Ahh, you're bein' a little rude.

[She sighed and shook her head in coquettish, mock penitence.]

What shall I do to make it up to you, Mr. Ace? ♥

[She allowed him to dip her abruptly, and she even smiled at him, giving him doe eyes.]

Forget I ever had and ever will have freckles.

[He was a demanding god. His demands were deathly serious.]

[Kodachi looked up at him, her slanted eyes gleaming.]

[Ace was also a terrible negotiator and unlikely to bend even the slightest in his demands.]
