Masquerade Ball - Totally not an ambush

[Harlock's camped out by the open bar as far away from the main part of the ballroom as he can manage. He's currently watching the crowd and sipping wine. His posture is slightly stiff, it's been ages since he's been to social gathering like this. From behind his mask is eyes are scanning the room looking out for pirates he knows are in the crowd.]

Elissa Accosts Harlock!

"Greetings, Handsome. Come here often?" says Elissa's teasing voice as she moves to stand by Harlock's elbow. She absently takes a sip of the drink in her hand as she joins him in watching the ebb and flow of the crowd.

He recognizes the voice and turns to look at Elissa. Good thing he's wearing a mask Elissa would likely not appreciate the way his his eyes had widened at the sight of a small ship with Navy marking was at sail atop her hat.]

That is a very interesting take on it being a Navy Masquerade.

[Together with her dress of oceanlike blue and gray waves it's clear she's but a lot of thought into tonight.]

"Thank you, my dear. I simply told my dressmaker what I wanted and set her loose with her creativity. She did very well, I think." Elissa pauses to take another sip of her champagne. She very well knows she should slow down, but the bubbles are a delightful novelty.
"The next time we go to Gun Frontier, I shall have to stop in to thank her."

[She had made her way over, a drink in hand as she tok a seat. She kept quiet and still for at least one minute, using that time to take her first sip of actual alcohol that wasn't used for a chocolate cake. It was different, not a bad kind of different, just different.]

Aren't going to join in? It's fun you know. [She said acting like they just met before glancing around to see who was around.] But in truth, have you heard anything or seen anything interesting?

Later. [He's going to watch a bit more before trying to imitate the steps. He had promised Elissa a dance.]

Actually heard nothing but one navy man seems to be going around whispering something to the others. [He inclined his head in the direction of a navy officer in an owl mask.] I'm not sure if we blend in as well as we hoped to.

[She looked over, once more noting the one he was on about. She had her way of finding out what exactly he was whispering, but it meant she had to talk to one of the people he whispered to.]

Do you want me to go check? Find out what it is. For all we know it could be something about a private meeting somewhere. [She takes a sip of her wine once more. No change still different, but it will do.]

[Well, there's a familiar face--or a familiar mop of hair, anyways. Codi's mask will make recognizing her significantly more difficult in return, but the Tyrant is more than happy to make some new friends out of old acquaintances, anyways.]
