Masquerade Ball - Totally not an ambush

What: The Masquerade Ball + Ambush (12am)

There are going to be two main threads. One for the ball itself and the other for the Ambush! There will be an obligatory third thread for FASHION. Just remember to tag your muse in the subject header and OTA or 'Closed to ???' as you comment.

He he in return was unaware that he was in the presence of another pirate. With all the people he's been greeting and checking in on so far, it doesn't surprise him that someone comes up to him. He has his own drink, one he's had for a bit now.

He gives a bow of his head, looking over the woman in the fancy tricorn hat. "Indeed, it is." He feels stupid talking so proper, but it seems to work on some of the ladies around here. "So you're enjoying yourself?"

"Mmm," she agrees as she swallows a drink of the pale wine. "Very much so. There are far more people here than I expected." The woman studies him with a slight grin before inquiring, "Are you a member of our brave and steadfast Navy or merely someone's... guest?"

His eyes fall on someone that he was keeping an eye on, in the distance. One of the Spades. He was managing to keep an ear or eye out on several of them. His gaze trailed over the room and back to the lovely lady beside him. "That would be telling, would it? And what's a masked ball for if not to be anonymous."

Brave and steadfast navy? Man, he tried not to snort at that.

"You make an excellent point," Elissa laughs before draining her glass and deftly swapping it for another as a second waiter passes them.

"I am not certain what this is called, but I like it," she admits while lifting the flute to look at the bubbles moving within the wine. "It sometimes makes my nose feel as if a sneeze is coming."

He as well exchanged drunks at the waiter, lifting the fresh one to his current conversational companion with the huge hat. "Champagne, I believe. It'll give you a hell of a hangover in the morning." It was a bit too frufru for him normally, but it was the easiest to access with out going to the actual bar. it also didn't effect him much at all. he gave her a smile though, a tip of his head as he took a sip. "This can't be your first time at a fancy party?" He asked alsmot in tease.

Realizing she should be more careful about such topics, she still laughed at the man's question. "No, it isn't, but I must admit that I have never had champagne until now," the young woman answered with a grin that was more than a little flirtatious.

"It is always fun to discover something new and... delicious."

It's okay. You're just taking to another pirate. These topics are fine. Her comment though made him chuckle. "Enjoy it while you can. Free for as long as the ball goes." A tease of course.

"So, are you here with someone?" As in which Navy target is she here with, since she doesn't seem to be Navy herself.

"Not exactly," Elissa confessed, but she absently gestured to a table full of old Navy officers up near the front of the room. If she was pointing to someone specific, which she wasn't, it was not obvious which one. "I am here as someone's guest, but have been gladly left to my own entertainment."

She studied Logan with a coquettish look and a playful tilt of her head. "Entertain me?"

He glanced to where she pointed but noticed how very vague the gesture was. that already spoke volumes in questions. Hmm. but he smiled under his mask at her as she asked to be entertained. Just like a rich woman would, he thought. He moved to sit his glass down and offered her a hand. “I’m not much of an entertainer, but would you care to dance?”

Who knows, maybe she’ll have some info to give. And Ace did give orders to have fun. Heh.

Elissa faintly smiled and took his hand with a light touch, glad that she'd decided to wear gloves to cover up the calluses she'd earned from swordplay. In truth, the gloves were probably more important to her disguise than her mask. "I would be delighted, ser," was her warm response. "Lead on."
