You may, Mr. Marco.
[Kodachi sank into a graceful curtsy, peering up at him from lowered lashes.]
I should have perhaps worn the flower crown you gave me. I'm keeping it fresh; I do have a way with flowers, if I may say so myself.
no subject
As expected from someone with the name of Black Rose, eh? It's probably just as well though, not too many of the noblewoman wear real flowers these days.
just got off hiatus and ready to tag once more! o/
[She slipped her hand into his and smiled up at him ever-so-daintily as she moved into position for a dance. Kodachi then flawlessly moved into the steps of the waltz, as though she was born to dance - which, in fact, she probably was.]
Do you dance often, Mr. Marco?
\o/
[And Marco is relieved. Even dancing with Robin, she was so on guard thanks to the navy around them. Kodachi, on the other hand truly seems to be enjoying the dance for the sake of the dance.]
Unfortunately I rarely have much opportunity for it at sea. And even more rarely do I have such an experienced partner. One could easily take you for a professional dancer, Miss Kodachi.

You flatter me, Mr. Marco.
[Kodachi let out a trill of laughter, twirling around gracefully in his arms.]
How long have you been a sailor?
no subject
Let's just say a long time, aye?
no subject
What is it that you love about the sea?
no subject
Freedom.
Nakama.
You want to really see the world, or at least the sea at her best someday, ask Ace to take you out on his skiff. That's how you can really know that you're alive.
no subject
You seem to mention Mr. Ace a lot.
[She agreed with everything Mr. Marco had said, but this was a good time to point out that he kept mentioning Ace to her.]
1/2
[The quickest way to take Marco off guard.]
[He actually practically chirps in his surprise.]
Ah, do I?
2/2
Well, he is my brother and captain after all, eh?
[And he totally isn't trying to help Ace out, nope. Not at all.]
no subject
Hmm. You seem quite flustered.
Are you in love with him?
no subject
And no, I have a girl I'm interested in.
no subject
[Kodachi was nonplussed by his amusement.]
Oh? Tell me about her. What is she like?
no subject
She's a bit like you, actually. Graceful, loves flowers, dark-haired, and completely brilliant.
no subject
[Kodachi positively beamed at him. It must've been fun to have siblings like Mr. Ace and Mr. Luffy. She absolutely loved her brother, despite the fact that he was - to put it honestly - a pain in the ass.]
Is that so? We should probably be friends.
