Masquerade Ball - Totally not an ambush

There are going to be two main threads. One for the ball itself and the other for the Ambush! There will be an obligatory third thread for FASHION. Just remember to tag your muse in the subject header and OTA or 'Closed to ???' as you comment.

Selphie couldn't help but giggle at that, and leaned in again to gently touch his skin beneath the mask. "It suits you. Very dashing and charming." She laughed as they danced, occasionally glancing around just to have a look at all the other dancers.

His comment got a wide smile from her though, and she laughed again, evidently really enjoying herself. "Careful, mister, you'll have women falling in love with you talking to them like that!" And since she figured he wouldn't see a wink because of her mask, she stuck her tongue out slightly. "You just like to think you're not a gentleman, that's all."

"I don't do dashing. Occasionally I can act charmin'. Don't let the shave fool you." He said, letting her do what she wanted, and once in a while, he even gave her a long armed twirl on the floor before bringing her back in. He doesn't remember where he learned to dance, but it was no doubt some shitty thing like this, back in the days.

"Oh, right. I remember why I'm rude." Having a ton of ladies falling in love with him is the last thing he wants. One. Just one. And she's not here. Tons? No. "Like I said, don't get used to it. After tonight this is over with." A smile as he said it.

"Nopes! I've seen the dashing and the charming so you can't escape it! Don't think you can just grow back a beard and I'll forget!" The long armed twirls get a special squeal from Selphie who somehow always manages to wobble back to him without falling.

"You're never rude to me!" And if he ever was, she'd just ignore it or more likely tease him about it. "Only over until the next ball, you mean!"

"Trust me, this beard is going to grow back as soon as possible, and you'll forget. I'll be especially mean to you, Princess." All teasing, all of it. And she's doing well with the dancing. He's even taking it easy.

"And I rather hope there isn't another ball next year. At least not like this." he said, eyes rolled a bit. There wasn't enough hard booze here for his liking and he was being TOO ...cleaned up.

"Well, it's a good job that you're a cutie pie even with the beard. But careful, cause if you're mean to me I'll be mean right back and you don't wanna know what that's like!" To be fair to the pair of them, they were dancing rather impressively.

"Ya know...before this thing came up, I was thinking about organising my own ball...maybe on the Sun."

“I donno, princess, I don’t think I can see you being mean.” He teased, his baby faced smile large. damn this lack of beard. Her comment about throwing a ball though made him raise a brow. “Really? Looks like you should remind people to keep their stuffy clothing for a bit. Wait a month or two, and see who you can nab.” A pause, and he snorted, glancing off. “Not that I want to dress up like this again.”
