Masquerade Ball - Totally not an ambush

The question is, 'Should we?' [And the award goes to 'Ace' for 'Least Reassuring Answer to a Question, Ever'.]

No, to both, but--that's not the issue. We've got tons of fellow pirates around. We don't have the advantage yet, but that's why we've got our trump cards outside of the hall.

[Turning on his heel, Ace parried the swing of a sword and then kicked one soldier in the face hard enough to coat his glove's knuckles in blood.]

For now, we're gonna selfishly enjoy being able to get at these guys ourselves!

[She moved dodging backwards from one slice of a sword and using the keyblade to knock the wind out of him. At least he would have a few moments to try and get his breath back at least and give kairi the chance to rip off a good chunk of her skirt so she could fight better.]

We're basically being a distraction, aren't we? [Thankfully with so many sword on sword clashing Kairi couldn't be heard very well by the navy.]

[Ace whistled, giving Kairi a moment longer to get ready to fight by swinging his leg out, sending a sheet of flames into on soldier who was hell-bent on bum-rushing the young lady. He went skidding aside as Ace opened his mouth wide to yawn.]

Yeah, mostly. We're the 'furthest' from the exit, so we only have to clear one path to get back to the ships.

[Once she was comfortable enough to keep fighting, she gripped her keyblade moving about and attempting to knock out as many people as she could. She needed to clear the path for not only herself but for any crew here that couldn't be able to.]

I can do that! [She feels a little more confident now with her weapon, but she knew she still had a way to go.]

[Spinning the sword on his fingertips, Ace made a few clean swipes and cut down a few men before they could even work up the gall to swing for him and Kairi.]

Just remember--until you reach the big leagues, let your brothers watch your back.

[She nods, she knows that trusts them enough to help her should she need it and she knows she will need it a lot until then.]

Okay. ,small>[She jumps up onto a near by table and started to run across it, jumping over sword swings as she went, using that moment to fight back. When she reached the end, seeing another guy about to try and slash upward she jumped as high as she could, flying over him and using that moment to slash down before she landed.]

So far so good, I think we could make an exit should people need it.

[One soldier tried to bury his sword in Ace's neck--in return, he gets his arm coated in fire.]

The problem is, there's not enough skilled officers in this hall to do them any good. The real fighters are probably still in the base.

So, Chandra's gonna have to cover ruining their ships or we'll have a tough time sailing.

[watchesthesea]

[She nods, so that was what she was giving her the hint about. She had assumed she knew what she meant but now she did... she hadn't a clue. Kairi for the moment climbed underneath the table, knocking anyone down who had a weapon on their person and she knew wasn't apart of her crew.]

So these are just easier to fight? [Well that could explain why she was finding it easier right about now.]

'Easy' is a relative word. I could smash this dance hall with one punch if I wanted, but I'd risk gettin' people hurt who I don't want hurt.

[He found a better way to describe it. Coming down, Ace swung his right foot up into the chin of a man trying to rush at him.]

It's an issue of control! We've gotta take control of this place without so much as bruising one of our allies!

[watchesthesea]

[She peeked out from underneath the table for a moment, watching for signs of anyone coming near.]

How exactly does one take control this way?

We beat anyone who tries to fight us! Ahhh, but logistically-- [Ace punched another soldier in the face, bowling the poor guy over into a row of other Marines.]

Territory! If you surround a territory even if it's unclaimed, then it's essentially your territory! So, we're surrounding this place so they can't make it to the shipyard!
