Lenalee had just finished kicking a few guys over, knocking most of them out before she spotted her fellow crew mate.

"Elissa!" She said happily making her way over before she noticed the sash. "Uh... why are you wearing that?" She asked looking a little puzzled at the others actions.

"To make up for the fact that I owe Ban fifty doubloons," Elissa laughed in answer. "The old man wouldn't dance with me earlier. Had a bad leg." With a yank of a hidden string, the young woman's silk underskirt pooled to the floor about her feet, leaving her in her ruffled overskirt, matching breeches, stockings, and her fancy, low-heeled shoes. She pulled her dagger from where it was strapped to her leg and asked, "Have you seen a downed man with a good sword?"

As she spoke, Elissa ducked a punch thrown by a female officer and returned it with a vicious elbow to the woman's middle.

"Oh." Is all that she said as she had to quickly dodge another attack attack from behind, spinning around to kick them in the face and send them flying toward a wall. Unconscious and not dead at least. She could have done worse if she tried.

"Why did you want to gamble in the first place? I don't see much of a point."

Elissa is not a graceful, martial artist by any means, but she can hold her own in an all-out, dirty-fighting brawl. Since this is a party, she is trying not to mortally wound anyone, but if the action gets more severe, she will do what she must.

"I was confident that I would win," she admits, grunting when the Navy woman's next punch lands. For her troubles, the woman receives a swift, unsportsmanlike kick from Elissa. "Had I done so, Ban would have actually had to do his work! It was worth the risk!"

"Wait, really? Ban would have worked if he lost?" She said sounding a little surprised to be honest. She was kind of assuming he would always not be that helpful. One day she will knock sense into him with a swift punch, but today was not that day.

She jump over a couple of soldiers landing on her hands as she proceed to kick them out of the way. Sure she didn't like her innocence for some rather obvious reasons, but they did some in handy when it came to helping those she cared about.

"We should try and get out of here."

The Navy woman kept fighting! Elissa didn't quite duck the next punch in time and her hat was knocked askew atop her head. "Do," she asked, trading blows between each word, "You... see... a.. clear.. exit?"

The last punch had all of Elissa's weight behind it. Her opponent flew backwards to land atop one of the small tables, knocking over glasses and flowers. The Naval officer went still atop the table - just before it collapsed beneath her.

"Finally," breathed the Warden.

Lenalee managed to get one giant jump in seeing above the heads of the many people fighting.

"Nothing that is clear, too much is going on at once. But We can always make a way clear." She said as she landed hard on the ground, causing a small dent to form on the floor. Maybe she had put too much into that jump. Oh well.

"I think the best route will be this way. it seems like there are less fights" She pointed towards the direction she was getting at.

Grateful for Lenalee's help, Elissa picked up her discarded underskirt and started moving in that direction. Not two steps were taken before fire bloomed in the exact corner where Lenalee had pointed, causing screams to erupt from those in the area.

"Maker!" Elissa exclaimed as she backpedaled. A few shots rang out from Navy rifles and pistols, but they seemed to be flying to another part of the room. "We may have to head upstairs and use a balcony!"

She nodded slightly and she cringed at the screams. It mean those poor people might be burning to death right now and there wasn't much they could do about it. "Right, now where are the stairs. We also best hope they aren't on fire too."

She glanced around, there was so much going on now that it was getting much harder to fully focus on searching and making sure one doesn't get attacked again. "I think there over that way, but I cant be sure with all the commotion."

So many people in masks were fighting each other that it was difficult to tell friend from foe unless they were obviously armed naval personnel who had entered at the last moment in an attempt to catch the infiltrators. Since she had already taken part in some of the action, Elissa was unable to use her stealth abilities which made heading to the stairs a more difficult task.

She was already regretting slipping out of her underskirt. Had she left it on, it would be much easier to pretend to be an innocent damsel in distress.

"There! I think I see it," she exclaimed, but when Elissa turned to look at Lenalee, she spied the two Navy riflemen approaching with bayonets held in a threatening manner. "Behind you!"

She turned her head quickly, noting what the yelling was about she flipped over them, using their shoulders to give her a boost in height before landing behind and kicking them both into the wall. That was easy enough, but more were coming. A lot more. This didn't look good.

"It was fun while it lasted, but maybe fighting our way out is suppose to be a thing. Not fun, but still."

"Hurry - work your way to the stairs and try not to get hurt!"

Elissa was doing her best to follow her own advice, grabbing up a sword from a fallen party-goer to use in conjunction with her dagger. The stairs were visible ahead now that the flames across the room were growing higher and casting more light.

Block, parry, thrust, slash - the new sword was put to good use despite it not being very sharp since it seemed to be little more than a dress uniform piece. Still, it was just as useful for blocking blows from more of the riflemen's bayonets as they came quick-stepping down the stairwell.

Lenalee had made use of her ability to go over people and had started to use that moment to run.... on top of some peoples head. Only those who were attacking of course.

She soon stopped and landed just near the end, they were blocking the stairwell now and well she could probably use this change to use an attack now the number of people has lessoned in this area.

"Elissa, please keep behind me otherwise I can't say you won't get blown away." With a jump she got herself ready.

"Waltz: Mist Wind" She said kicking towards them and sending a tornado gust of wind at them, sending them spinning and flying away, up on top on a chandelier, through a nearby window among other places. "Okay, lets keep going."

As soon as Lenalee's abilities kicked into gear, Elissa was very glad that she had heeded the other girl's warning. She watched with a grin as the air tossed their opponents away and her opinion of Lenalee's fighting skills went up several notches. She would worry far less about her companion now.

With the stairwell ahead, Elissa lightly ran up the stairs despite the growing discomfort of her fancy, heeled shoes. Oh, how she longed for her Warden boots! Fire crackled along the entire building, creating smoke that obscured some of the upper level in billowing clouds.

"Do not open a door, if tis hot to the touch!" For just a moment, the noise, smoke, and the danger threw her into an earlier time and she thought she was back at Castle Cousland during that terrible night.

Lenalee as soon as she landed had started to moved fast, up the stairs. With a glance at the door she wondered if she could use that attack again, but then again she wondered if that could only make the fires much worse instead of putting them out since wind has oxygen.

"Okay, so we can't touch it, so what shall we do?"

Elissa shook her head to clear it of the old memories and, with a dark frown, began darting back and forth across the corridor to touch each of the few doors. Hot. Hot. Warm. Warm. Damn.

With a grimace, she looked back at Lenalee and then gestured to the doors at the end of the corridor that led to the upper terrace. "Outside, it seems - with hope there are none with rifles on the ground."

"Though given our luck, I bet you there is."

Lenalee quickly moved towards the door, going to kick it down should it need it. Once that way practically out of the way, she knew what to do next.

"Let's keeping going, I think we're nearly outside at least. All that we'll probably have to do next is find a way down."

Fresh air and a cooler temperature awaited them on the other side of the door. "I know where we are," Elissa suddenly said as she bolted forward. There were columns stretching upward from the floor to support the overhang of the roof. "We're over the terrace where Haytham and I tried to talk, earlier. This is the balcony. If we go... left, we should find some stairs leading down the outside of the building!"

Unfortunately, the cadence of feet running in formation could be heard coming from that direction. To the right? Flickering flames. Elissa ran forward to look over the edge of the railing. "It isn't that far down, I suppose..."

Below them sounded a scream and then a few shots. Partygoers were fleeing the building and running toward the waterfront. One man was assisting an elderly gentleman with a limp while calling out, "Sean! Jamie!" Jonas stopped his searching long enough to hand the man over to a pair of Navy men who helped him onward.

Lenalee had made her way to the edge looking over and studying the ground. It seemed easy enough and she saw a certain spot that would be the best idea to try and jump towards.

"Okay, shall we jump at the count of three?" She asked as she once more kept her eyes open for any possible distraction or navy.

Oh, Maker. It was a much longer drop than Elissa had ever attempted, but Haytham did such things all the time and with a great deal of ease. How hard could it be? She sat upon the top of the railing and swung her legs to the other side.

"Yes. Will you do the counting?" she asked Lenalee. The other girl would surely have no difficulty with this what with the way she leaped and kicked when fighting.

She gave a small but firm nod, getting ready to move, moving a little distance away from the railing.

"Okay. On three, we jump." She said turning around, legs at the ready to run towards the railing.

"One. Two. Three," Once she counted three she moved, running towards the railing smoothly as she jumped up and off, twirling in the air as she went. Once she knew she was close to the ground as flipped landing feet first and causing the ground below to crack slightly.

"Come on Elissa. You can do it."

Elissa pushed forward and dropped before she lost her nerve, remembering not to lock her knees upon landing. She hit the smooth stone and landed in a deep crouch. For a split instant before all of her weight came down upon her feet, she felt a spark of triumph at nailing it - but then the heel snapped from her right shoe causing her ankle to give sideways. The snap of the heel and turn of her ankle unbalanced the young woman and she sat down very hard on her overskirt full of stolen trinkets.

Pain! Embarrassingly enough, her right butt cheek hurt even more than her ankle as she flailed around and tried to get back on her feet.

Across the way, the thin, bespectacled man who had been assisting others was watching both Elissa and Lenalee with a mix of awe and exasperation. He began making haste toward the two women.

Lenalee turned her head and rushed over, she was pretty sure she couldn't carry someone else right now, especially in a dress she was not use to wearing to fight.

So looking around she was hoping that there was someone that could help and soon came across the man.

"Can you please help us? My friend might have hurt her ankle and I can't carry her alone."

"I saw you jump. I saw her jump," the man said as he hurried along with Lenalee through the faint trails of smoke. "You are not hurt?" he asked the girl at his side. "Did she break a bone? She broke a bone. Tell me she didn't break a bone. I cannot believe you both jumped. Are you hurt?" Jonas said in a rush of mild-mannered excitement.

"Oh! I-I... Terribly sorry. I am a physician. My name is Jonas Hackett," he said by way of introducing himself to Lenalee while he adjusted his spectacles atop his nose and crouched down by Elissa. "Let's get you both away from here, shall we?"
