Manly Drinking Times
Who: Marco, Thatch, Logan, Namur, Roxas, Vyse, Chandra, Natsuno, and anyone else who wants in on this drinking game
Where: The Sun! And the Moon! And all the ships in between
When: Sunday May 4th, pursuant to this hilarity
What: MANLY DRINKING TIMES
Warnings: Ehhhhh ARRRRR For Rum. And drinking. And war. And fuck who knows what else, remind me to update if needed.
Status: OPEN!!!
Marco quickly set up a couple of kegs at the ready for the drinking party. Because it was just plain necessary, and a lot like old times. The last two weeks were still weighing on Marco's mind. War, Peace, phoenixes. Was it a good idea to really enjoy war so much? Was it a bad one? Maybe it was inevitable, so he might as well enjoy it. Like life, right? Or should he not encourage it just because it was amusing?
It was too much of a headache, that's why he was just going to drink.
He also set up some non-alcoholic drinks for Leanne and everyone else. Green tea, fruit juices, but they were all clearly marked.
Marco gave a quick piercing whistle. "OI SPADES! Roll call and drinking games!"
And maybe drunk board games, he would blame that on Ace though.

"Right, so is any of this stuff good on fire? Or is it the kind of booze you drink cold?"

As for the occasion, Marco briefly flipped through the journal to gesture to Meep's post. "Hot girls caused a war in jealousy over Nam-chan. We're going to make a drinking game of it." Was that terrible? Marco still wasn't sure. Nor did he know if it mattered if it was or not.

"She was our ally against the navy in the last battle." Both the ball and the sea battle before that. "And if you absolutely promise to keep a secret from my brothers and the rest of the crew, I'll let you in on something else."
Keep in mind Chandra, this is Marco. Aside from being a blue phoenix, he's also a bit crazy.

"She stole my boxers when we were at Leanne's island. Something about a trophy and being able to track me at a whim."
Marco holds a finger over his lips though, "Not a word to my brothers though. Especially not Thatch." Because Thatch could get overprotective, and Marco already had to ask him to pick up more at the last island when he went and visited the Straw Hats without explaining the somewhat bizarre request.
"It was a compromise though, eh. Since she wanted all my clothes, but I've had to scold Pops about getting tricked by girls like that all the time."

"Wait, she's tracking you?" Chandra asks simply, brow knitting in curiosity. "You trust her that far?"
no subject
"Don't misunderstand," he held up a hand and waved it a little, "I'm not saying you can trust her or anything. But how hard is it to kill one of your phoenixes, do you think?" He gave a birdie head tilt. "When she was possessed by the witch, she attacked one of her own favorite crew members. So I helped subdue her for them. And for her own future sake." Before she could do more that she would have regretted. "I don't let my guard down on her ship, but aye, I trust her that much at least, eh."
He faintly remembered their shared kisses around Christmas, but kept it from showing on his face. "Besides, I think I intrigue her more alive than dead. And she likes Ace." Another chin rub, "Although she did threaten to stop talking to me if I shaved my head." Oops.

And you thought he was weird before.

That requires... quite a bit of rewind, hang on.
"The idiot rookie 'captain' -- and I use that term loosely here -- of the Sinewave crew got it into her head that Scurvy Dog loves Namur or something. Actually she might at that, since she is acting a bit jealous and peeved. But in that case, that's what she gets for toying with Ace and Namur at the same time."
Let us now take note of Marco's complete and total hypocrisy here. Chandra flirting with both Thatch and Ace? All well and good. One girl flirting with both Namur and Ace? Nope. Not allowed. He has his reasons, but they aren't necessarily good reasons.
"So apparently she asked Nam-chan on a date, but he turned her down because I asked him to handle the ships at the ball. The rookie lied anyway and claimed she was living it up with Namur all night, to make Scurvy Dog jealous. That's why Dog banned their crew and unbanned ours, just to get more revenge on the girl. But the added stipulation was that anyone who helped her out would get in trouble, so the idiot rookie tried to take Grell down with her out of jealousy, figuring that if Dog was going to get jealous over the rookie, then she'd definitely get jealous about Grell."
His eyes sparkled deviously, "And that is why rookies rarely make it to the big leagues."
Terrible? Yes. Just a bit.

"So she's a liar," comes the flat reply. "As well as new at the whole adventurous lifestyle thing. That's just stupid. Why even try and make Dog jealous? She's a dog that talks."
Pirate rookies, she decides, are probably like what she thinks of amateur pyromancers. The kind that explode their pets. And pineapples
