To be fair, death by angry natives would be a pretty interesting way to go. The champion shuts her eyes as she hears the natives charge, already preparing herself for the worst.]

When he got close enough, he jumped up and did one flip mid-air in order to gain momentum. He landed on his feet in between Cynthia and the mob, which let him block the charging natives with his katana's, holding the spears in place.
He took a glance behind him.]
Cynthia, you okay?
no subject
[She looks up, far too shocked for words. How the hell did he end up here of all places? And seriously, what were the odds that one of her crew mates would find her now of all times.]
I'm fine.
no subject
That happened just in time for him to block a spear from being jammed into his head and proceeded to push him hack and slam the blunt end into the guy's head, knocking him down in time to block another spear.]
Mind telling me what you did to rile these guys up?!
1/?
[Not that she didn't appreciate you jumping in to save her. She really does. But she'd rather not leave you here to fight the crazy locals by yourself. Trained or not, they leave together.]
Leo come on, you can't take all of--
[And then silence.]
2/2
She couldn't speak. It hurt, but panic might make it worse.]

But takign his eyes off the fight was a mistake. He heard a native make a move and he moved aside fast enough to not get a spear put straight into his shoulder, but not fast enough to not leave a scratch. But his eyes quickly went back to look at Cynthia before turning back to the mob.
It was like a sudden calm hit the blue masked turtle. he held his katana's at the side. his gaze going to the ground. He didn't even react as the natives came at him head on.
He simply stood still...]
2/2
No one hurt his friends and got off scott-free.
There were spearheads cut off, groans coming from natives as they were met with a fist, kick, or end of a sword. There were grunts coming form Leo as he felt himself get scratched and jabbed at, some hits worst than others. But he didn't think of that right now, he just kept fighting.
When the last native hit the ground, Leo stopped. He looked at the knocked-out mob, he didn't seriously injure them, but they should stay down. He himself was scratched up,t he worst wound he had was a stab in the shoulder. But he'd worry about it later.
Right now, he sheathed his katana's and ran over to Cynthia's side. The calm anger was now placed with full-out worry.]
Cynthia, are you... no, of course you're not. Oh shell... this is bad.
[He was no medical expert. What was he going to do.]
no subject
[Her voice was stern, slightly strained, but enough to hopefully get the boy's attention. Cynthia leans against the rock behind her and takes another look at the knife. She couldn't just pull it out. But if she moved, the knife might shift around as well and she couldn't afford that either.]
How long did it take you to get here from the ship?
no subject
The ship is about fifteen minutes from here, ten if we made a run for it. But there's now ay that you're going to be able to move in your condition. The alternative is either I carry you tot he ship, or leave you here until I find help.
[He didn't want to dot he latter because he didn't know how much time that would take. And right now he couldn't afford to waste time.]
no subject
[She slides down into a sitting position, still against the rock. Her hand gently cradling the hilt of the blade so it wouldn't shift with her movement.]
You run back to the ship and send my pokemon to come get me. Get that shoulder looked at as well. Can you do that?
no subject
[He was willing to do it, but if the pokemon didn't listen to him then ti wasn't going to help much.]
no subject
But as an extra precaution, she raises her bloodied hand and rests it on the other's chest, leaving a perfect hand print on him. Gross? Probably, but now he's got her scent on him.]
Now they will. I'm sure Garchomp would love to figure out why you have my blood on you. But talk to Lucario. It'll be easier...
fer gaius
Once on the ship, she was immediately taken to her cabin. From this point on, this was probably not going to be pretty.]
no subject
Having been taking things considerably easy since their arrival, Gaius still didn't feel as up to speed as he'd normally be, although the orange he had earlier helped a bit. He gave a couple of knocks before he swung the door open.]
-Cynthia?
no subject
Her lips curve into a weak smile as her friend calls out to her. In an attempt to lighten the situation, even a little.]
Hey handsome...how goes the sugar diet?
no subject
[He stepped over towards the bedside, setting down the small pack he'd brought along that held what counted enough as much for a first aid kit as anything, really. After some hesitation, he begins to pull off his gloves to toss towards the foot of the bed. This was going to be messy one way or another.]
So personally I don't think the knife in the gut really works for you. Let's take care of that. Can one of your Pokemon give me a hand with things?
no subject
[A chuckle, followed by a wince. Ok that definitely wasn't a good idea. The champion glances at her pokemon. Then motions her Lucario to step forward. If anything, he was the closest to having hands, that should be enough. Plus she couldn't really trust Spiritomb with a knife even if she wanted to.]
I'm just glad my pokemon stopped puking. They...urgh...they had those weird purple berries and they've been...pretty ill. But Lucario can help.
no subject
[Gaius nodded over at Lucario then.]
Hey, can you grab me some fresh water from one of our storage barrels? There should be a bucket near them to carry it.
And in the meantime...
[He took a look at the knife, glancing at Cynthia.]
All right, I need to get this out before we can try cleaning this. Tell me when you're ready.
no subject
The blonde glances down at the knife, then up at her friend.]
This is going to hurt right?
no subject
[Although he can't help but wonder where that water comes from, but he'll just....figure it's magic and leave it at that because it's better than trying to over-complicate things. He nods his thanks at the Pokemon before turning his attention back to their trainer.]
Can't say it won't, but we can't let that stay there.
no subject
Well...I suppose I'm as ready as I'll ever be.
no subject
On three, then.
One...two...
no subject
no subject
Hey Lucario, do me a favor and see if you can't find any of the captain's alcohol around. Gonna have to clean this out before we dress it.
