Well gee daddy, a thank you would have been nice. Since none of you boys bothered to give me one.

[ Judging by what she was immediately seeing, there's some sort of chocolate waterfall, a hill that was either made of cake or ice cream or both, some more candy filled trees and a stone path made of...is that rock candy? This place is amazing! Arceus knows what else they could find here. ]

So, where should be begin?

[He doesn't roll his eyes- he's too busy staring ahead at all the things. His question's about the same as Cynthia's.]

[ And she might as well take that literally. The champion closes her eyes, makes one spin and points at whatever direction she lands on. Opening her eyes, she sees that chocolate waterfall. ]

[Not that Gaius has any problems with it. Frankly, that would have been the method he'd have used.]

[ She took his arm and let him take the lead. After all, this was his adventure into the wonderful world of diabetes, and after what she put him through the last month, she won't even react to whatever weird thing he plans on doing while they walked there.

Though she does notice the very realistic looking rocks covering the pathway. If everything on this island was candy... ]

I wonder...

[ She holds her side, slowly bending down to pick up a pebble and pop it into her mouth. If she was right, there should be chocolate inside it. If not, then her injury's going to hurt a whole lot more than it normally does. ]

[Normally he'd wonder about anyone's thoughts to stop and sample rocks. He trusts his nose, however, even if his eyes don't find anything very tasty about it.]

What's it taste like?

[Says the guy who ate the dirt. But her eyes do light up after swallowing the stone.]

Oh goodness! These are river stones!

[ For the first few seconds, she picks up a handful of little pebbles and starts eating them one by one. Of course, that was until he asked his question. Which she responds to by taking a stone, biting it in half, an showing him the chocolate core. ]

I used to eat these a lot when I was a little girl. But I didn't expect to see them here of all places. You should try one! They're sooo good.

[Because that doesn't sound tasty, and it's a really strange name for candy.

Gaius arches a brow, but he stoops down to pick one of the pebbles up, sniffing at it before licking it, and then finally biting into it.]

Good right? My grandmother used to buy me bags of these when I was a little girl. Then I'd use it to freak out her research assistant by making them believe I was eating real stones.

Speaking of bags of candy, did you find the ones I left for you back on the ship?

[He pops another into his mouth after he finishes the first one.]

Well, I'm almost positive you've never tried a poffins. They're these little sweet cakes made out of different kinds of berries. Usually made for pokemon, but humans could have them too.

[ She probably should mention that she only eats those things when she's stuck in the wilderness and has nothing else to eat, right?...Nah.
Cynthia pockets a few more stones for later, then takes his arm again. ]

Oh no not the coins. I found some sweet heart trees and picked some for you and the boys.

[ Which probably counts as over exerting herself? Whoops. ]

[If it's sweet and edible, then Gaius won't care about the circumstances so long as it tastes good.

Gaius picks up a few more of the rock-like candies, dropping them into a pouch. He quirks a brow at Cynthia then.]

Sweet heart trees? ...and when did you go and do that, huh?

[She bops his nose lightly before returning her attention to the chocolate waterfall that was coming into view. If there was anything that could cheer her up from her recent shard loss. That was definitely going to be it.]

[He holds back a sigh, shaking his head as he looks forward, not that the telltale smell of chocolate isn't enough to tell him what to expect.]

I can't believe Twinkles was holding out on me.

Eh, Maribelle said she'd made notes on places here that might be of interest to me, but of course she never bothered to mention anything about there being such an island even back when we were sailing on the same ship!

Oh...well what ARE your interests? All we ever talk about is the weird things Maribelle tell me about you. It just hit me now that I don't actually know much about you, other than you liking candy and being a thief.

And I didn't know you two were in a crew together.

When I first arrived here, I was lucky enough to have found not only someone else from home that showed up around the same time I did, but someone that was with the crew that Maribelle ran. [As the waterfall comes fully into sight, he stops to stare because man, that is a beautiful sight.]

This is quite the upgrade from sacks of chocolate coins, though, don't you think?

Oh come on, you know how I feel about magic. Besides, I'm healing up just fine without it. All I need is a few more weeks to get over these small sharp pains, and I'm sure I'll be back to pissing off natives in no time.

[ She takes a seat on a nearby piece of rock candy and looks up at the waterfall. It was such a beautiful sight, made even better by the fact that it was 100% pure chocolate coming down this waterfall. She was also a little curious if it was a good idea to try out those little marshmallow fish swimming in the river, because they looked DELICIOUS. ]

I'd definitely pick this over chocolate coins. It smells heavenly.

Yeah, and keep up this kind of activity and you'll add a few more weeks besides.

[Gaius tugs off his right glove as he starts closer towards the chocolate falls, sticking his hand out to catch some of the chocolatey goodness. It's difficult to resist licking off his hand after he's sampled the stuff.]

Oh yeah. This here's quality chocolate. Puts those coins to shame.

[ It was bad enough Leo was getting all over protective of her. She didn't need Gaius to turn into that too.

But a playful smirk forms on her lips as she gets up and walks over to her darling best friend. Giving him a half hug before pushing him into the chocolate.

[The lopsided grin he flashes at her fades as she steps closer. Yeah, he can't help but be a little guarded at that, because women don't usually just come up to you and hug you for no reason.

He's not going down alone if he can help it, however. The moment he finds his balance offset, he's going to grab her hand.]
