Into the storm
Who: Hazardous Materials with special guest star Draco Malfoy
Where: the ship, and then Eternal Bliss (oh joy)
When: November 1-5 at sea, 6-? on land
What: sailing log, and then shenanigans on wedding island
Warnings: let me know if there are any
Style: as you please
Status: closed to "who"
[As soon as the sun did not rise on the 1st, like others had suggested it would, Gan Ning wanted off Isla Empieza. He put out the call to his crew - get on the ship, leave no man behind. Or woman, Cynthia.
The storm hit while they were two days out from the island. It would take all hands on deck to keep the Nightfury from capsizing, good thing they have a couple of solid dragons to keep things in check. Just watch out for Gaius and his fiery pendant! By the time the storm blows out in the wee hours on the 4th, the charts put them drifting near to Eternal Bliss. Are the residents still pissed at pirates for what Kodachi did? Who cares, they need to land to make repairs. And maybe score some treasure, if anyone wants to go through the marriage requirement.

I didn't mean right now or anything.
[Roxas is aware he's something of a mess right at this moment and that probably isn't going to help matters any, nor is that attractive in any way.]
It's just that you sounded really sure. I was just asking because Jesse asked me about it. He asked because people who love each other like that have sex I guess.
[He even sounds a little uncertain about that.]

[Lea is mortified enough at the moment that he doesn't even see a reason to protest having his hair played with. He likes it, it's soothing, and he needs soothing right now. His poor brain...]
It's complicated and it's not something we're gonna do just because someone said we should, okay? It's...I don't know...
[He waves his hands in exasperation.]
A process or something. That you haven't processed yet, so it's not happening.
no subject
[Roxas takes another bite of bread, humming thoughtfully. His hand doesn't stop playing with Lea's hair either.]
I don't know what I think about it. [A process he hasn't processed, huh? He thinks about that.]
I guess I don't know that much about it. At least, I don't remember. If you wanted me to, I could try and learn.
no subject
As long as you learn by reading stuff and asking people who aren't creepy your questions, that's fine by me. No funny stuff.
[He can just imagine what Roxas will get himself into if no one keeps him in check. It's bad enough that he's apparently already discussed this stuff over the journal.]
no subject
[At least, no one he can think of. Roxas isn't intending on doing anything crazy, but then again he rarely ever intends to. He finishes the last bite of bread and hops down off the railing, intending to sit on Lea's lap if he'll let him.]
no subject
[Lea has a different opinion on the matter, but he's not bringing that up right now. He's a bit preoccupied with grumbling to himself, though, and he doesn't notice what Roxas has planned until he's taken a seat.]
Okay, so just invite yourself over.
no subject
Oh...I um...
[He turns bright red, the blush lighting up his cheeks.]
I can move.
[He puts his hand down on the deck so he can move to crawl out of Lea's lap. He just wanted to be close to him that's all.]
no subject
Didn't say you had to. Just no funny business. People are going to start questioning my maidenly reputation.
[Not that he has one.]
no subject
[He leans back, snuggling to Lea's chest, one arm around the back of his neck so he can keep playing with Lea's hair.]
But um, if you could hold onto me I'd really....like that.
[He wants to comfort Lea and he wants comfort at the same time. This way he can get both things.]
So this thing is like...it was like a nightmare?
no subject
Yeah, that's exactly what it was like. Like someone reached right into our heads and figured out what we'd be the most scared of and made us live it for a few days. I don't think I ever wanna meet whoever it is that does this stuff.
no subject
It worked. I'm...so scared.
[Roxas swallows and he looks up at Lea with a little frown.]
Are you scared too? Did you have a nightmare?
[Now that he's not having a complete meltdown, he can focus on other things.]
no subject
[Roxas may be looking at Lea, but Lea isn't looking at Roxas. That alone should be enough to fill in the blanks of what he's not saying. He doesn't want to burden Roxas with any more of his issues than is strictly necessary. He's unloaded enough on him as it is.]
no subject
Yeah, maybe, but you can tell me what you're scared of. I won't tell anyone...maybe I can make you feel better. I mean...I cried all over you, so...
[Roxas can at least return the favour.]
no subject
It's fine. I'm fine. I really am, I promise. Don't worry about it.
no subject
Okay Lea. If you're fine.
[He isn't sure if Lea is being honest, but it's alright, he can just be there and cling to him. Maybe that will be enough to make him feel better.]
It's okay if you're not though...I'm not.
no subject
I know, I know.
[He sighs. That didn't come out right. Roxas has every right to be scared and every right to be worried about him.]
I just don't want to think about it too much is all.
no subject
[Roxas snuggles again, sighing contently in Lea's arms.]
I'll try not to anyway. It comes around sometimes.
[He hangs his head a little.]
I'm kind of scared to go to sleep. I'm not sure I did that at all while I was thinking I was gone.
no subject
[He files that away for future reference, though. He needs to make sure Roxas gets some sleep or he's going to get sick and crazy on them and nobody wants that.]
Make sure you go to bed early tonight, okay?
no subject
[It's the least he could do at this rate. He sighs softly against Lea's neck.]
You don't have to feel bad. I guess I just dream a lot and it's always weird or scary, but it's always easier when you're with me. I don't know how that works.
no subject
[He nudges him a little.]
Don't know how you manage it with me elbowing you all the time, but if it works...
[It's why he's let Roxas cram himself into his hammock, after all. If it works, it works.]
no subject
Watch over me I guess.
no subject
You can count on it. Not like I have much of a choice in the matter, anyway. You get sulky when you have sleep on your own.
no subject
I'm used to sleeping with you now. I don't want to sleep apart from you. I guess if you're going to complain too much...
[He sighs contently.]
But I won't leave you anyway, cause I love you. Guess you're stuck with me in your bed.
no subject
[Roxas can get a bit clingy, yeah, and he can be high maintenance some of the time, well, a lot of the time, but Lea can handle it.]
So first step is sleep, then maybe I'll be able to get you to eat your veggies. Then maybe we can get something done about that skateboard.
[Not a whole lot of hope for that, but...]
no subject
I don't know about that, but I'm gonna eat another piece of bread. It's pretty good.
[He takes a bite and pouts at Lea.]
What's wrong with my skateboard?
