3/8ish
Once they're back after their quick trip to pick up Robin-chan, Sanji's ready for that promised alone time. So he catches Zoro on the beach in the afternoon and ambles over to casually nudge at him with his foot.]
no subject
Got your galley in order like you want it?
[or, you know, whatever he was doing elsewhere while Zoro made the decision to nap on the beach for a change of scenery]
no subject
[Which he assumes won't be for another several days, at least.
He looks down at Zoro for a moment, then tips his head in the direction of the mountain on the island.]
I heard they got some kinda shitty bath house up there.
no subject
He shoots Sanji a look at the suggestion, eyebrow raised.]
Bath house, huh?
...think we can get up there without Luffy tagging along? Not that I don't wanna hang out with him some more, but you know him and baths.
[it will turn into a complete melee, like every other bath party they've had]
no subject
I don't even know where the hell he went, to be honest. Don't see him anywhere.
[Glances back at Zoro.]
If we leave now, we can probably snag a few hours to ourselves. There's some kinda lift or something that gets you to the top.
no subject
[he gets up, brushes off the sand, and then grabs the shirt he was using as a pillow. For a moment he glances at the ship, since his swords are back there taking their own break, but he figures there's no threats on this island and he'll be fine unarmed. All right, then!]
A few hours is better than nothing. C'mon.
[starts walking literally the opposite way down the beach while putting on his shirt. Yep.]
no subject
in a fond way but shhhhh. Then he loudly clears his throat.]
no subject
Right.
no subject
For a minute, anyway, as he catches up to Zoro with a grin and walks alongside him.
But then he snickers.]
How does your brain even function? You were literally walking away from the damn mountain.
no subject
[He does have the strongest sense of denial ever.]
If you're so smart, you lead the way. It was your idea. [neverminding that he actually likes the idea...]
no subject
[You didn't think he was going to let you drag them around in circles, did you? Pfffft.
Sanji bumps Zoro's shoulder, angling him up towards a path that leads away from the beach.]
If putting your shirt on requires so much shitty brain activity, you could've just left it off.
[Would've been no complaints here! Most of the people on this island wander around in their swimming gear anyway. Even Sanji's without his usual suit, instead in his awesome manpris and some kind of
awfulawesome short-sleeved shirt.]no subject
I would've, but I don't wanna distract anybody.
[also, bath houses have been known to throw people out for less]
So. Your birthday turn out the way you wanted it, after all?
no subject
[Just Sanji.
But point.
He hums a little at that question.]
With the bonus of Robin-chan coming back, yeah, guess so. Ended up being kinda busy, actually.
[What with them having to up and set sail so suddenly.]
no subject
[He looks up at the mountain and the skies as they walk, pretty much content with everything. Having Robin back feels great. But seriously, fuck Davy Jones for putting her on that island.]
no subject
[Don't mind the little skip that sneaks into his steps for a moment.]
Anyway, she needed to get away from that place as soon as fucking possible. Good thing it wasn't far.
[The path really isn't too long, at least. He can already spot the large entrance at the base of the mountain, not too far away.]
no subject
Yeah, that was a pretty shitty place for anyone. We got real lucky we were close-by. She's okay, now, right?
[Not being very useful in the medical sense - or the comfort sense - he hasn't crowded in to check on her yet. He will, though. Ah, good, that looks important up there. Not that he can't keep up a conversation, but they're on a mission here.]
no subject
[Shrugs a little.]
M'not a doctor, but I don't think those little assholes did any lasting damage... She's the one who mentioned this place, actually. Think she said something about planning to enjoy the spa, and that it would help clear her head.
[...Not that Sanji is trying to sneak up here just because he thinks Robin might also be around. She just gave him the idea!!]
no subject
...huh. Well, either way. As long as it's not all beauty shit and there's actual baths to just laze around in.
[his second...no third...no maybe fourth favorite thing! After swords, booze, and the sexy piece of ass walking next to him.]
no subject
There's baths, don't worry. The beauty shit is separate, I think there's two parts. Onsen and spa. ...Though I ain't gonna lie, a massage would be fucking nice.
[Heads up through the entrance, and there's some kinda cable car there that'll take them up to the top of the mountain. Sanji throws himself into an open seat near a window, wanting to have a good view during the ride.]
no subject
Hm, not bad. Massages...what, like you're that overworked?
[he kids. If only because he's not really any good at giving massages, or he'd offer.]
no subject
I don't gotta be overworked to appreciate being rubbed up and down.
[Lifts a foot and reaches across to nudge Zoro's knee, smirking a little in a teasing way.]
Maybe they got really pretty ladies working on that side. You don't mind, right?
[SINCE YOU'RE NOT GONNA OFFER GOSH.]
no subject
Mind? Why would I mind? It's not like they're gonna give you the time of day after they poke and prod your skinny ass.
[so lame, since he knows that ass isn't skinny at all anymore. His insults are suffering from this newfound tangle of feelings.]
no subject
Mah, well, they'd give me the time of day while they were poking and prodding my very fit ass.
[Can't help provoking him apparently, though. Oi.]
no subject
[Can't help snarking back. Oops. He slumps a bit, bumping his shoulder into Sanji but still sort of avoiding his gaze. How do you own up to not wanting anyone else touching someone? It feels stupid and possessive but Zoro still feels it. Shit, he really doesn't want to get into a fight, not with oblivious locals around.
He rubs his face to cool himself down and sighs.]
Never mind. I can't stop you if you wanna.
no subject
And then promptly feels a little bad because Zoro looks all...something. Annoyed and maybe uncomfortable with it for some reason. Though...Sanji's not completely clueless. He thinks about it for another moment, and yeah, he can maybe sort of guess why.
Zoro's just been putting up with his shit for so long, he hadn't thought about what would happen if it ever actually became a problem. Hmm.]
...Oi. [Leans over to poke his temple.] I ain't getting a shitty massage, you idiot. I didn't drag you up here just to ditch you and go get felt up by some pretty girl.
[AS NICE AS THAT WOULD BE...assuming Sanji even survived it and didn't die via nosebleed explosion.
But still!
The things you do for the people you, uh. You know. L...ike.]
