Friends are the family you choose
Who: Antoinette crew and others (mostly non-combatants who have joined temporarily)
Where: The Antoinette
When: Jan 20th-28thish
What: Crew shenanigans, both light-hearted and serious, while the rest of the ships prepare for and do battle with the witch.
Warnings: Possible strong language, will amend as necessary
Status: Open to those on the Antoinete
The Antoinette is a strange ship to be on. The (wise) decision was made not to go into battle, so it has been offered as a safe haven for those unable or unwilling to join the fight against the witch.
The air of light-heartedness found might, at times, feel forced, and it is a bit. The residents have only their morale to keep them going, so that's what they rely upon.
(Please feel free to either reply to the subject headers provided or make your own! This is just a general mingle log for anyone on the Antoinette. If your character is a non-combatant who wouldn't want to go into the fight or someone injured and unable to join the fight, Kyouya has publicly offered passage, so feel free to handwave being there.

How could anything not be, right now? [He mutters, assuming she's talking about the general everything. Man, he has a very, very long list of things that he hates about this place and that irk him every moment of every day.
He glances at her out of the corner of his eye, then puts down his knife and leans back to look at her properly.]
You can't tell me you're unaffected by all this?
['All this' meaning 'being transported to a weird pirate world where Tono seriously talks about murders and Kyouya seems to be the only thing standing between them and disaster'.]
no subject
Then he notices Haruhi talking to Hikaru whilst working on the barrel.]
Haru~hi..
no subject
Feeling better?
[It's nice to see him up and about. She has been so busy with cooking meals that she hasn't had a chance to check on him.]
no subject
I missed you!!!! Otousan needed you to visit him every minute of the day~!!!!!
no subject
Flushing dark red, Haruhi tries not to flail too much, yet she is also trying to walk backwards at the same time.
Unfortunately this means she ends up tripping and falling into the barrel.]
...you wouldn't have rested. [That is grumbled as she tries to climb out.]

no subject
But I missed you~!!!
[He tried to peek his head out of the barrel. Violet eyes looking upon the dark-haired twin.]
I didn't touch Mori though!!!
no subject
Why not just say that instead of tackling me?
[Her eyes take in the damage to Hikaru's picture.]
He means his carving.
[She winces.]
I'm sorry, Hikaru. Is there a way to fix it?
no subject
You can't just 'fix' something like that.
no subject
...[Before he could say anything else, he was yanked away from Haruhi, his arms still trying to reach for her even when he was being successfully taken away.
He then looks up at Hikaru with his usual innocent smile.] But you've always been good at this, haven't you?
no subject
You're lucky you didn't re-break your ribs or something. [She was his cushion.] I have an idea!
[Wiggling out of the barrel, she grabs a knife and adds Honey holding a lei of flowers. The flowers halfway obscure Mori's face, hiding the mistake.]
no subject
That's... not too bad.
no subject
It's something. [She flushes and scratches the back of her neck.]
no subject
Though for a few moments he was silent and watched Haruhi work.]
THAT'S AMAZING!!!!
no subject
[Her face heats up and she turns away.] No, it's not. Not at all.

Good idea! <3
I am affected. Just like everyone else. But I know we can't fight this - no matter how upset we are.
[She pauses in her own carving - a nice and simple daisy flower - and meets his gaze unflinchingly.]
As long as we're together, I'll be okay.
[Before the above thread with Tamaki] Woo time shenanigans
worldplace - but that apparently doesn't mean he's able to hit the 'off' switch on it. And who gave her permission to be so endearingly straight-forward anyway?! It's not even like she was doing anything cute!]Yeah, well... [He clears this throat and picks up his knife again, to resume his carvings of their friends.] Just make sure you don't do anything stupid. [That probably wasn't a very good thing to say, but he's thinking of other things right now.]
~does the Time Warp~
Are you really that worried about me? I thought you would be focused on Kaoru. [Her expression sobers.] He does seem lonely. I wonder if there's anything we can do for him?
no subject
He's not 100% on why Kaoru would seem lonely - if it were him, he would have stopped feeling that the moment Kaoru arrived. It's not like he's incredibly dependent on their family, who they hardly see anyway, and the only other people he cares about are here for the most part. (Once Hani and Mori arrive, it'll like nothing's missing at all.)
...but he has a hunch, and it has everything to do with the things Kaoru said to him back home. He's not going to tell Haruhi, though. That's personal, private stuff between he and his twin. He's not even sure if Kaoru is actually seeming lonely here.]
...He's just wrong about a lot of stuff.
[At least thinking about Kaoru made him stop feeling warm fuzzies for Haruhi.]
no subject
[She will beg. No seriously. She will.]
I like it when you're happy. [And loud.] The ship could use your energy.
no subject
[Hearing that Haruhi likes it when he's happy really doesn't help his crush at all.] It's good when you're happy, too. [Was that too forward?! Back it up!] And everyone else! [Smooth. He kind of hates himself for being so lame right now.]
no subject
[She stares at him, color high on her cheeks. Hearing him say something like that is nice.]
Thank you. [Her voice is soft.] I'm glad you're here. And Kaoru too.
no subject
And--oh god, don't blush, Haruhi. That's too sweet, and her words bring the fluttering in his stomach back, and she never forgets to think of Kaoru, too. That means the most to him. It's actually the mention of his name that changes Hikaru's reaction from the initial deer-in-headlights from hearing Haruhi is glad he's here, to a kind, genuine smile.]
Thanks, Haruhi. [She probably won't know what for, but obliviousness has never stopped him from saying whatever he wants.]
no subject
As long as you're happy, I won't ask. [Which leads her to...] When did you change your hair? It looks nice.
[But it's definitely easier to tell the twins apart. Not that she had trouble with that in the first place.]
Did you really think I wouldn't want you around?
no subject
and makes a note to grief at least Tamaki later.]Just recently. It suits me, right? [The genuine smile turns into a more charming one, with a touch of his usual mischievous manner.] Now nobody has any excuse for getting us mixed up.
[He laughs, and reaches out to ruffle Haruhi's hair.] Of course not! Who wouldn't want us around? It'd get so boring! [He won't tell her, but the gratefulness is for always remembering to consider Kaoru along with him. It makes him feel okay about spending time with her; because she understands them.]
