Masquerade Ball - Totally not an ambush

[Fuu herself seemed to be dressed simply and cheaply as possible and she didn't mind it much. She did her best never the less. She was currently sticking around a Naval officer trying quite hard to get something interesting, useful hopefully out of him but this time was to no avail. With a sigh of defeat she made her way to the side, standing next to him quietly for a moment.]

Parties like this are a perfect way to mingle in the crowd, find out about each other and generally have fun. Do you think so?

[Obviously, Ragna couldn't bring his sword to the ball due to its size, so he's down to his own fists; that doesn't make him any less dangerous, and the Navy officers are quickly finding out why. The downside of not having his trusty Blood-Scythe on him is that for most part, his range is rather limited, save for the times he chooses to use his Azure Grimoire, though he's prefer not to, seeing as someone other than the soldiers could get caught up in the blast.

Sadly it would appear some people do not share his worries.

The Grim Reaper doesn't even notice the grenade that's been tossed into the group of officers he's been fighting until it, well, explodes. The blast throws him back, but he's back on his legs in a split of second, looking for the source of the attack. And, soon enough, he manages to locate a... girl? Whatever, it's not like her age or gender will save her from his anger.]

"I'm an excellent dancer, if you must know. It's a very important skill to have." Close proximity to the right gentleman could be nice, but to someone she wasn't sure of it meant an easier means of pick pocketing.

[Fuu hadn't been paying much attention, almost falling over some poor sleeping man. Kneeling down she felt like she should at least apologize and to check that he was okay at least.]

Selphie laughed at that, tilting her head as they continued to dance, "Don't worry! I am! And you're sure not a bad dancer. It's nice to have some fun before... later."

[Fuu had been lucky that she could bring a part of her armour that made summoning her sword possible. So with it now in her grasp she was ready to take on anything, even if she was in a ridiculously long skirt for this. It made it harder but she kbnew she would at least try.

Kicking one guard, she swung her sword at another, hurting him but thankfully not enough to kill him. She wanted them alive, especially if they could give her any kind of information she asked for. Walking over to the one she slashed she looked around, spotting the girl.]

Keep them alive if you can, please?

[Kairi didn't waste a second, using this moment to summon her keyblade in ready to defend herself. This time she wasn't going to back down and this time she knew she wasn't going to die.]

Just give me an order captain and I'll do it.

[Lenalee didn't waste any time from the moment the ambush started to activate her innocence. Once she had done so, she jumped into the air, floating for a moment like a butterfly on the wind being she came thundering down like steel on to a naval man that happened to be nearby. She knew it was to kill or be killed and so far she didn't want to die, at least not now.

So as she ducked, she kicked another man in the groin sending him flying into the air before kicking him towards a nearby wall. Another man down and she was still doing okay. She knew she had an advantage at least, but she wondered what would happen if they tried to use a lot of men at once. After all they are different to Akuma after all. But for now all she could do was knock them out one by one and make sure that she stayed alive.]

I suppose. Though I'm more used to be played with than to play myself so don't bet too much on me.

[He takes another sip. Had Saori been there she probably would have been able to milk everything from everyone already, or come close to. This kind of thing was really her natural habitat, no matter how hard she tried.]

You seem to be more comfortable than what I expected.

"I can imagine a lot of guys tend to lose their composure when a girl slowdances with 'em, right?"

Ikki fumes a little at Marco's hold and his frown doesn't relax even after the whisper. So that's the objective of this thing? Was it really necessary to do a conga line?

It has been years since he had to steal something, from a house or from a person. But it's not the kind of thing one forgets and now he is taller and faster. Much faster. He gets the watch in a question of seconds, initially placing it in one of his pockets, too fast and silently for anyone to notice that he even moved his hands. He doesn't say anything, though, slightly leaning his head back and turning it to eye Marco. "Now what?"]

Fear? My plans? Never. Don't worry about it.

[He gives the room a once-over before returning eye contact himself, giving another shrug to the shoulder her hand isn't resting on.]

Well, I've only just begun my rounds. I don't want to overwhelm the floor with my presence all at once.

"You imagine?" Faye smirked at that and put down her glass, "You mean you don't know? Haven't you slowdanced with a girl before?"

I love a good party. It's fun to blend in while no one else knows the full truth.

Isn't not knowing the full truth the point of masquerade?

"I may not be as good as Ace, but I've had much more practice," Marco stuck his tongue out. "Don't worry about later so much," he spun the girl around, "Actually I have a special request for you, eh? Think you can get out the kids and innocents early?" He leaned in to whisper into her ear under the guise of dancing closer, "The navy are planning something so I'd like to spring it on them, eh."

[Marco can't explain it yet, but his eyes sparkle cheerfully, and he holds up three fingers over Ikki's shoulder. Third on the list. Bingo.]

[He should have said so earlier, suddenly Ikki finds that he doesn't mind this conga thing so much. He also takes the chance to make sure to memorize the Cosmos of the man in front of him, even if it may not be needed.

Still he may try to leave, or silently ask if he can leave, after a few more minutes. He may not mind it that much, but he still finds it ridiculous.]

Red, check. Love of food, check. I sense a possible friendship in the making.

[Near the food, she'll run into Conchita. Where else would a gourmet be? Sampling a bit of everything, because the real feast has yet to begin.]

Though before heading back to his wall Ikki stops and eyes Marco, a smirk on his lips.]
