"Hmm... maybe." He glanced off at a pair of officers with the large white Navy coats, before smiling back down at her. "Or I might end up with a better coat, before the end of the evening." A wink at that.
no subject
Faye turned to look at the officers too and chuckled softly, shaking her head slightly when she looked back at Logan, "Oh - that one I spoke to earlier. If you don't get your hands on one later, I'll get him out of that coat in a second." Faye smiled wider at that wink, because she was only teasing with what she said. She had no doubt Logan could run off and fetch a coat on his own.

A glance at her, brow raised. "I'll keep that in mind." He was amused though, and had no doubt that she could pull the 'i'm cold' routine on that guy. "But I should be fine."
no subject
"I'm sure you will be. You seem like a capable man." Though, of course, Faye had no idea of just how capable he was. "Meanwhile, I'll focus on the girly jewellery, hmm?"
no subject
If only she knew how capable he was. "Then perhaps I should move on. Stop cramping your style. Wouldn't want to scare off one of your many conquests."
no subject
Faye stood a little straighter at his comment, and blinked at him, "Are you bored of me already?" Choosing to stay playful, rather than think about that word 'conquest' and what it might suggest about her as a woman.
no subject
"Not at all." He said with out thought and that might have started him. "I just wouldn't want to put a cramp in your... evening" he said as he waved a hand out, pointing a finger to a young man in a leather baboon mask giving them the eye.

He offered a hand to her, putting on a show of being a gent. No one can tell him he can't be well mannered now, okay?

"Honestly? It's called acting. Don't get used to it. I'm itching to sink a claw or two into some of these guys faces." Not that she knows he has claws. He looked almost annoyed as they passed one guy, his nose sniffing a moment. He was distracted from Faye a moment as he glanced back towards them, watching him laugh with some other men. Yeah. That one. That one especially.
Eyes narrowed behind his mask, he looked forward again, trying not to be so noticeable. At the bar he did however get her a flute of champagne, offering it to her. "How long are you Roses staying tonight?"
no subject
"Claws, hmm? I'm thinking..bullets." She'd see what he meant later, perhaps. But she did turn slightly to see who or what had prompted that response from him.
Faye smiled widely and nodded her thanks when she took the champagne from him, "As long as we're needed. Our ship isn't nearby, though, and there are only a few of us here."
no subject
"Bullets and me, we don't get along so well." Not that he can't use guns. He's good with them, but he'd rather do things a bit more personal then that.
He picked up his own champagne again, mostly to have something in his hand. It wasn't like it would effect him any, and there were hours to go still, but he'd not over do it. SO there were a few of them here. He'd noticed other crews as well. Some people at least. Logan thought it was stupid, to invite so many people into this. It's clearly going to break into chaos later. But, that's a pirates life, huh. "Just be careful the later it gets." A small warning, but she might already know, if her captain does. "These bastards will get sloshed by the end of the night." He said, watching the Baboon masked figure stare at them from beside a pillar.

Taking a sip he looked away from the masked man and back to the slender form before him. "I'm hardly the one he's eyeing. He's been watching you all night."
no subject
"Are you sure? Should I wave to him? Invite him to join us?" Faye was no stranger to being oogled at, but this felt different, and it wasn't just the weird mask that unnerved her. Still, it really could just be some weird lonely guy.
no subject
He turned a bit to look the other way, talking to her while taking a sip of champagne. "Pretty sure." After all, he spent a bit of time watching her too---god he'd never admit that. What the hell Logan. "Wanna see for sure?" He asked, nodding towards an arch way with open doors, leading off to an outdoors area.
no subject
If he did ever admit that, it would definitely amuse Faye, who might even laugh - so it was a good job he hadn't been as creepy or as obvious as this guy. "Yes, let's." And she began to move off in the direction to head outside.
no subject
Well, he's not going to admit it, so it's alright. He offered her an arm as they moved. A simple nod to her as she said yes. As he moved them through the crowd, his brows darkened over his eyes under the mask. Well, if he follows, he'll regret it.
Which, indeed, the baboon mask man did follow. Logan lead the two of them to a small outdoor part, a nice bit of fresh air and all. He could smell their tail. He did nothing to keep the conversation going, just using Faye to lead the guy out here, away from others eyes...

But when she moved through the crowd to outside, Faye was all big smiles, playing the part of the lady enjoying herself with a handsome gent. Once outside, Faye waited, knowing they'd been followed, but not sure what to say or do next. So she drifted away from Logan, as though she was going to look at some flowers, but behind her mask her eyes were narrowed and focused.

The baboon guy slipped out father, moving towards the woman, seeing to have missed where the man went. He came up behind Faye, reaching a hand out to try and touch her hair...
When the world went out from under him. Logan came up of no where, yoinked the guy by the neck, and drew him behind a bush, dropping him swiftly and holding a fist over the mans head. The mask have askew on his head. "Convince me not to smash your face in, creep."
The guy moved, pushing his mask off his face and looked frightened, eyes wide. "I..i..I..I just.. wanted to... to ask her for a dance." He said trying to peek off at Faye.
no subject
Faye stepped over to the bush when she heard Logan's growling voice threaten the other guy - she wanted a better look after all. And actually, it was rather exciting that Logan had gone to such lengths to get baboon mask away from her. So she stood beside Logan, biting her lip as she glanced between the two men, looking the uncertain lady, "I'm not sure..." Looking more pointedly at Logan, "Can we believe him?"
no subject
His hand seemed flinch up more, the skin under the back of his hand moving. Three claws moved, so very slowly out, like blades sliding slowly down. Light caught on them as they went full extension, the center blade just barely digging into the mans bulbous nose. "...I'm not convinced yet."
And then, if one had good hearing, they could hear it. A soft damp sound. Logan's nose twitched and he snorted a moment later, drawing back some. He moved to stand, looking.... amused and disgusted all at once. The man had a very large wet stain growing at the front of his pants.
"How did you even get invited to a party like this, pipsqueak." He said with a gruff tone, letting his claws disappear back into his hand. He didn't like picking on weak guys and this one was pretty damn weak. Damn, he wasn't even anyone he was looking for.
The guy tried crawling back away from the man, the woman and his puddle, stammering.

But then a small stream moved its way slowly towards Faye, and she opted not to hide her disgust this time as she tiptoed back slightly so it wouldn't come in contact with her shoes. Faye's attention was on Logan's hand again. She certainly wouldn't be dancing with the baboon guy now, whoever he was, disappearing away. Faye turned to face Logan, grabbed his wrist, and lifted his hand closer to her face to inspect. "There's not..even blood. How the hell did that happen?"
