[Thash focused on the ones hiding Faye first, going for the one nearest him on her right side. His first goal was to get him to let go of Faye, so he grabbed the man's shoulders, piercing his claws as deeply as they would go into the muscles. Then he drove his knee into the base of the guys spine, which would at least cause a lot of pain if not paralyze him.]
[by then the other three guys would have reached Thash, and one of them managed to land a punch on the left side of his jaw. The shark hybrid was tough and took it without even letting his current victim go, but that caused him to pull the guy to the left and shove him into the guy that had punched him. The other two had move behind him and now had a second to try to attack him from that angle before he could react]

Faye wondered if they had the chance now to just get to the door and get the hell out, but then she saw the remaining two men heading for Thash. She headed straight for them, giving one a powerful punch to the side of his nose, then twisting her hips to give the other a hard kick to the crotch, her long thin heels greeting him first*

[he cursed at her, calling her several foul names as he wrapped his burly arms around her from behind very tightly. Thash was nearby and came to her aid immediately, although he was careful I how he attacked so as to avoid getting Faye hurt as well. He grabbed the guys ribs and dug his claws in, opening his mouth wide and chomping down on the muscle between his left shoulder and neck]
[he screamed as his blood splattered on Faye a little before he let her go, frantically grabbing at the creature biting him. Thash finally let go when he in turn was attacked from behind- by the guy that had punched him earlier. The guy had drawn a four-inch knife and pierced into Thash's side, effectively getting him to let go of the other burly fellow.]
[the big guy stumbled away to nurse the nasty, bloody bite Thash had given him, leave it Faye alone for now. Thash had give a brief shot of pain when he was stabbed, dropping his guard just long enough for the guy behind him to put him in a stranglehold]
[the guy glanced at Faye anxiously, knowing she'd try to help him] you try anything girlie, and I'll snap his neck! [he punctuated the threat by squeezing Thash harder, getting a choked growl out of the shark]
no subject
Her eyes widened again when she saw the guy squeezing at Thash's throat, and she looked around in confusion, not sure what to do, but refusing to look Thash in the eye, in case he saw how scared she was. Instead, she got closer to the guy what was strangling him, and hooked a leg up by his thigh*
You try anything, dickhead, and I'll stomp your tiny cock to shreds.
*Faye threw a glance to the guy she'd already kicked with her heel, who was whimpering desperately in a corner, trying to drag himself to safety*
no subject
[the guy holding Thash went a little pale at Faye's threat, seeing how much pain the last guy she'd kicked was in] w-well, you kick me and he's dead, so I suggest you back off! His voice wavered a little but his grip didn't, causing Thash to continue choking]
Hey hey hey, why don't we all just calm down a bit, huh? [a new voice joined the conversation, and a guy with a beard and a silver star on his chest stepped closer to them. He was holding a loaded revolver, but he wasn't pointing it at anyone in particular yet.]
Boy, y'need to let go of that there....uh...fellow...and lass, y'need ta step away from him. I'll talk to the three of ya outside, all calm like. Got it?
no subject
She was startled to hear another voice, considering mostly they'd been ignored by everyone else in the bar. Glancing at the guy's star, and really not in the mood to be arrested, Faye took a few steps back, holding her hands up, but her eyes stayed on Thash, watching to make sure that the other guy let go of him*

I said outside, pardner. Now move it. [the sheriff gestured to the exit and the guy walked that way. Once he'd caught his breath Thash stood up with a slight wince, one webbed hand moving to his side to pull out the knife and put pressure on the wound it had made. He headed that way as well, staying close to Faye as the stares of all the patrons followed them]
[once they were outside, the sheriff glared at them each in turn] now I don't wanna hear about who started what and who clobbered who. I want y'all at get away from this bar and don't come back. You're banned from it get a week, y'hear? If I see any of y'all back here before that, it's straight to the slammer for ya. Get yer booze elsewhere. Understand?
no subject
Faye said nothing until the sheriff was done, and she lowered her eyes, staring at the ground. When she did finally speak, her voice was little more than a hoarse mumble*
Okay. We're going. We won't be back. But - do you have something? For the wound?
*She moved slightly and looked at Thash's small stab wound, then back up at the sheriff with large, concerned eyes*
no subject
Too bad, [the gang member spoke up] because if they stay away, they won't make it to the poker tournament at the cow's eye bar tomorrow. [he smirked at Faye] even a cute whore and a cheating shark wouldn't be able to beat the poker champion at that event, heheh...
Stop stirrin' up trouble and get out of here ya twit. Go on, move along. [the sheriff shooed the guy away, then left himself. Thash sighed a bit] dang, I let my guard down. Maybe we should go lay low on the ship for the rest of the night if that's ok with you...
no subject
Thash didn't have to tell Faye about going back and lying low. She thrust the bandana at him, then began quickly walking away straight back to the safety of the ship. Clearly, she was plenty angry, and if they passed anything at all, a sign, or a plant, or anything small that moved across the road, she would kick it or punch it or something, storming away*
no subject
[once he caught up, he started speaking to her though he would probably shut up quickly if she made it clear she didn't want to talk]
You know, that bar we were just in... It was steer skull bar, not cow's eye. [meaning they hadn't been banned from the bar where this tournament was supposed to take place] also... Are you okay? [she seemed to be by how fast she was walking but he just wanted to make sure]
no subject
It's not about the fucking bar, okay?
*Still, she wasn't looking at him, and she hadn't done not since he threw that first punch at the bar. At least, she managed to keep an eye on his wound, but that was all. In her frustration, Faye kicked up some dirt with her foot, an arm flapping angrily at her side*
I fucked up. I fucked up big time. None of that was supposed to happen. You got hurt, Thash, and it's all my fucking fault. So can we get the hell back to the ship already so you can stop bleeding everywhere?
*This was anger, enough that her body shook when she yelled at him. And when she was done speaking, she was ready to spin round again and continue to head off towards the ship*
no subject
[he followed after her again when she started walking, speaking as they went]
Hey...that was NOT your fault, Faye. Those guys were jerks, and I probably responded to them a little too violently myself. And anyway, this is nothing, I've been hurt way worse before... They had no self control or respect for you, so don't feel like you did this.
[he wanted to keep going, but stopped there to see if he was actually comforting her or just making things worse]
no subject
*She had ceased to make too much sense, and was just being angry because she needes to be. She really was pissed off, and she did feel like so much of it was her fault. Faye threw Thash a couple of angry looks, and didn't stop her storming angry feet until the got onto the deck of the ship. Once there, she kicked off her shoes and put a hand on her hip, nodding at the wound on his side*
What do you want? Huh? What do you need?
*For now, even her offer to help him with his wounds sounded nothing short of fury*
no subject
[he wiped some of the blood off his lips with the back of his hand. He loved the taste, but a shark with a bloody mouth probably wasn't a good sight for Faye to see right now]
Nothing. I'm fine. I tend to heal pretty quickly and it was a skinny knife, anyway.
no subject
Do you..have a room on board yet? Or do you want to rest in mine?
no subject
Thanks though, it's really nice of you to offer. [he gave a small smile, trying not to look at the blood all over her]
no subject
*Faye registered that smile, but her own expression didn't return it, her face remaining resolute, not allowing any further flickers of emotion*
Fine. Then I should go. I need to wash this off. I must look hideous.
no subject
no subject
Yeah. See you.
*She'd just left it at that, no mention of the fact that she planned on going out again the nextday to win that tournament. She just turned and headed back to her room. It was only in the process of cleaning herself up that Faye considered that she might have been a little hard on him, after all that had happened. So around an hour or so later, Faye turned up at his door, clean and in a white vest top and denim skirt, more comfortable than what she had been wearing before. She knocked then waited, since she hadn't been to his room before*
no subject
[her knock did wake him though and soon he was opening the door. His hair was kind of screwed up(more than normal anyway) and he looked tired at first but when he saw who it was, he perked up considerably]
Oh, hi Faye [he smiled a bit] what's up?
[he'd found some old fabric to wrap up his wound with. It was done kinda sloppily but effectively]
no subject
*Faye looked first at his wound, glad to see it was better dressed. Then she noticed his hair and how tired he looked, and that was when she made her comment. Not that it stoppes her from trying to walk past his and into his bedroom*
I was a bit of a bitch to you earlier, even though you'd not really done anything wrong. So - I'm sorry. Because that wasn't really fair.
*She'd noticed how patient he was with her, and it unnerved her because she wasn't used to it. With all the fuss she was making, she was surprised she hadn't been yelled at or warned in some way*
no subject
[Thash closed the door behind Faye then went to go sit on his bed, invitng her to sit down too if she wanted. When she apologized, he smiled understandingly]
It's alright, I know how it is. Sometimes I get really pissed off too, more than I should for the situation. But if someone tries to tell me I'm being unreasonable it only tends to make it worse, so I think it's best to just get it out.
[He ran a hand through his hair absentmindedly, sort of fixing it]
Besides, I'm used to people being way more rude to me than you were, so it doesn't seem so bad to me.
[Not to mention he was impressed she had the maturity to actually come apologize. That took a lot of self control in his opinion, and most poeple didn't apologize after doing far worse]
no subject
Okay. Well, then I guess it's not so bad if you know what it's like. But still - none of that was supposed to happen tonight. Beyond the winning, that is.
*She looked at her palms, and realised she'd come empty handed, without the money they'd won. But she'd get it to him later, she figured, and she shrugged as she moved to sit down next to him on the bed*
And you really did not need to punch that guy. I don't know what it's like in your world, but where I come from women can take care of themselves. If he'd grabbed my ass, I'd have moved away, and that would've been that. Things got crazy when you punched him. Having my ass touched by some gross guy in a bar isn't the worst that's ever happened to me. So you really didn't have to do that.
...but I appreciate that you did.
*Leaning against him slightly, Faye looked up at Thash, her expression warm, eyes smiling as she looked up at his. There's a thank you in there somewhere. Maybe not those exact words, but the sentiment's the same*
no subject
[He sat and listened as she explained he hadn't needed to punch the guy in the bar. It was true that he knew it probably wouldn't have resulted in her getting raped, but then again, who knows. That guy might have liked what he felt and gathered his buddies together to overpower her or something. Thash didn't like it when there was even a possibility of such a thing happening, probably because he attributed his mother's decision to abandon him to him being the child of a raping shark monster. It angered him that creatures with far more mental capacity and self-control than a test tube-grown shark creature were capable of something like rape]
[He really started to regret doing it when she pointed out it had worsened the situation. Apparently violence wasn't the best problem solver in that situation and it sounded like she wished he hadn't done it, until she finally said she appreciated it]
You do?
[He looked back at her, noticing the details of her eyes and face since leaning in put her quite close. Her eyes were a pretty shade of green he thought; just a little darker than his own green eyes]
I thought punching him and salmming him intot he table would diffuse the sgituation but it only made it worse and put you in danger, so I'm sorry about that... but if you appreciated it, then you're welcome.
[He gave a small smile, his tail lightly thumping against the bed a couple of times]
