Beach party beach party
Who: Hazmat crew!
Where: Aquatica Paradise (and sailing to it if you'd like)
When: appx Sept 24-30 (or, for sailing, anytime the 14-23)
What: VACATION. They've had a rough summer so it's time for some downtime. There are water parks, beaches, and an obligatory onsen, so mix and mingle with the super-happy (and young and pretty) locals and have some fun!
Warnings: not likely
Style: anything you want
Status: closed to Hazmat crew only unless another crew is on the island?
[Gan Ning promised his ragtag crew a party, and by god, they were going to have a party. It might have been worth it to hold on Isla Empieza, to mingle with other crews there, but there wasn't much going on there to stick around for. He heard from someone in the harbor about this island and decided it would make a great place for a party.
Somewhere along the way Raphael disappeared, sadly, but the rest of them continued on. They had already put off partying for too many reasons - a poor showing in the race, other crewmates disappearing, Cynthia's rescue from the clutches of giant spiders, and so on. No more. This time, they were just going to put down anchor, hang out on the beach, make some ice cream, and have a good time. Besides, with Tsuzuki joining the crew, they had to show him that they knew how to stick together, right?
((ooc: for all your info needs the island is here. Date your threads in the header if you need!))

Old Man at the Onsen | Sept. 24
[[ooc: Feel free to start a thread on the way there.]]
After the amazing trip there, the archway and cable car especially, the near century year old guardian smiled at the lovely ladies on staff that ushered him to the changing rooms. They were quite the catch, but he was far to shy to do more than smile and laugh awkwardly at them, making them giggle at him with amusement. When he finally got to the baths, he sank in the warm water with a heavy sigh of contentment.
"Aaaaaaahhhhhh... This brings back memories..."
[[ooc: Again, feel free to hop in here.
Great punning there, right?]]After his bath, he decided to take in the recreation. He found a ping-pong table, but he had no one to play with. He glanced around like a grade school boy, hoping he wouldn't have to play alone on the playground...
[[ooc: One more thread opportunity because I am being generous today. I'll stop now...]]
he'll join the bath
"Not too bad! I didn't think I'd find one like this here!" He found a bench under the water and stretched out with his arms on the lip of the bath. "Gotta love a real bathhouse."
Awesome 8D
"How long has it been for you?"

"So what sounds the most appealing to you to try first?"
no subject
He leaned in, then, grinning broadly. "Wouldn't say no to a couple of those nice ladies who saw us in joinin' us, too, eh?"
no subject
"Ahahaha... you really think so...?" Oh, clearly he had no idea how to deal with ladies.

All the mobile typos up there made me cringe. I am so sorry...

Since this is how he makes friends...
He hadn't had a chance to get to know the new guy that well yet and he'd come to the conclusion as a kid that there was no better way to get to know something than kicking their ass, so a little friendly competition sounded like a great idea. Lea leaned on the door frame and surveyed the room. His skills were probably a little rusty, but there was probably a way to cheat...
"You looking for someone to lose to?"
Of course~
"Well, I don't claim to be a star player, but I'm willing to see if I stand a chance." He picked up the other paddle, holding it out to the challenger. "Should we see if I lose or not? Hm!"
no subject
He took the paddle from Tsuzuki and examined it, then tossed it up in the air and caught it when he was satisfied there was no funny business going on.
"You're the new guy, right? I've kinda had my hands full lately, so I guess I'm gonna have to introduce myself by kicking your ass."
no subject
"Is that how all the new crew members meet their right of passage then? I should warn you right now, I have a thick skull and take a while to drop. Not sure if that matters in my butt kicking or not, but I thought it fair to warn you."
no subject
"I don't think we really have any sort of welcome ritual or anything. This is just how I say hello."
Actually, it wasn't something he'd had the chance to do in a long time. It was his go-to way of making friends as a kid, but once you grew up, most people weren't as amenable to someone picking a fight with them as a method of greeting. Funny how that worked. Spoilsports.
no subject
"How does that work out for you? I'm sure it's quite the bonding experience. Hm-hm!" Serve!
no subject
He returned the serve easily, though probably with a little more force than was exactly necessary. To be completely honest, he had no idea what the actual rules of the game were. If there was something more to it than "hit a ball back and forth and try to make the other guy miss," he was unaware of it. He was never really a "play by the rules" kind of guy.
no subject
"I see then. Do we have a lot of interesting people in our crew than? I'm sure you've screen a good bit of them already." In the boxes, Asato! Aim inside the boxes...!

He'll try the baths!
The warm water made him sigh contently and he blinked at Tsuzuki. Was he familiar? It didn't matter. He was under instruction to make new friends anyway. So he smiled at the older man. "Hi!"
Yay! Bath time shenanigans!
"Hello," he replied, waving at the young man. Opening his amethysts eyes, they seemed to smile as brightly as his lips were at the moment. "Would you happen to be a part of the Hazmats crew? You look familiar to me..."
no subject
He gave an innocent smile. He was hurt recently and he has a scarring wound on his shoulder. Usually he has a sling on but not in the bath.
no subject
"You must have seen some action before then though. That wound looks pretty fresh. Are you alright in the warm bath?"
no subject
"Oh yeah, fine. It feels good in the warm bath. I was captured for awhile by the Navy and when I escaped I got shot here. I didn't like that much that was the first time I got shot ever. I don't think I want to do it again. I have to wear this stupid arm sling thing all the time and I hate it!" Roxas pouted a bit. He really did, but it was his own fault because he just didn't slow down in the least being injured. He wasn't programmed that way.
"I'll go see a doctor soon I think and if he says it's okay, then I can take it off and go back to doing normal things." Like sparring with everyone he came across for fun.
no subject
He smiled as he listened to Roxas talk. He could hear such youth in his voice. The excitement, the frustration, even the hope all blended together so perfectly. He had a feeling the Roxas would be a good friend during his time here. He liked being around people with a lot of energy.
"Well, until you see that doctor, let me know if I can help you out with anything. Even if its just to stave off the boredom, so you don't hurt yourself more. I might not look it, but I'm pretty capable when I put my mind to it. Hm!"
no subject
He sounded nonchalant about the whole thing. Actually, he'd been afraid when he came back but it had passed. Now it was just another string of facts that made up his life prior to that moment.
"That's why I had to see the doctor in the first place. I didn't like sitting still." He still didn't, but Roxas had been trying his best to behave and let it heal properly.
no subject
"I can understand that. Young people have energy to move around. You have all your old years to sit quietly. What have you been doing to keep busy though?"
