Preparing to set sail by the weekend
Who: Maribelle, Kyouya, and all interested applicants for joining her crew (In other words, if you're part of her crew, or want to be part of her crew, get in here.)
When: Wedensday afternoon
Where: Restful Night Tavern common room.
What: Preparing to set sail, bring a small contribution to funding the voyage for your starting supplies and our ship.
Warnings: None that I know of
Open or Closed: Open to all (even pirates who wish to leer at them)
Things were relatively quiet in the tavern at the moment, as only a few tavern regulars were present, and Maribelle patiently sat at the head of the table with Kyouya seated at her right. "Are you quite certain that everyone has the date and time for this meeting correct? I would hate to find that we are lacking in members simply because of communication." Of course, Maribelle was the one who had made most of the arrangements for this meeting, and had nearly sprung it on her counterpart at the last moment. So she certainly wouldn't hold him at fault for a lack of arrivals.
She glanced up at the door to the tavern, seeing it open but not recognizing the person who came through the door. Could it be one of Kyouya's applicants? She was of course, immensely disappointed when the individual instead saddled up to the bar to sit with some of the other regulars. Patience was a virtue, but it was a virtue of which Maribelle might be slightly... lacking. "Perhaps I should go see if I can find a few of them mulling about... or... no I suppose I should be here in case any of them do decide to be punctual."
She's just going to... sip her tea... and try not to let an irritated twitch show at the corner of her mouth. (OOC: Make sure to also hit up this post as well.)

It was easy to say, and it was a task he was willing to take on. No different than finding errant members of the Host Club. The vice-president (or second-in-command here, whatever it was called) could take on those tasks so the person in charge -- be it Tamaki or Maribelle -- could know that all was taken care of and they could concentrate their efforts where it really mattered.

"I'm sure they will be here. First meetings, especially in so large of groups, tend to be a little bit chaotic."
no subject
"Hopefully, it won't be too chaotic but I do have a few contingencies in place if things get too... rowdy." Like should the bar suddenly explode into an ambush full of pirates, she had an escape route for them planned, with easy access all the way to the harbor.

He expected similar difficulties here, especially since they had little in common except a prospective leader and being pulled into this situation suddenly.

Okay, no it isn't, but she was still on time. A few seconds behind the first regular to swagger in, Lucy pushes open the door, casting a swift glance around and breathing a side of relief. Not too crowded, surprisingly! "Maribelle!" She greeted the other girl with a bright smile, and gave the fellow at her side a curious glance on her way over.

"Ah! Allow me to introduce my associate and first mate, Otori Kyouya. A gentleman of exceptional breeding who I have signed on to help handle many of the important details regarding our crew. Kyouya, this is Lucy Heartfilia, a personal friend of mine and a mage from the Fairy Tail guild."
no subject
"A pleasure to meet you, Miss Heartfilia."

"Ah yes! I do believe I know who you are referring to. The one who was so helplessly smitten with that other guildmate of yours you were looking for, Gray?" Juvia on the other hand was kind of a piece of work. She reminded Maribelle a little bit too much of Tharja's obsession with their tactician, but she was hoping that Juvia was at least slightly more sane. "If you will vouch for her my dear, I certainly have no qualms about having her along. As I recall I even had given her an invite to meet with us today, but I see she did not arrive here with you."

"Sorry Juvia is late, she got held up!"
With a certain annoying pirate
no Lucy it's not what you think sob. She turned her head to Maribelle, then Kyouya, then Lucy, waiting for someone to respond back. Oh. She was also invited. Right?Right?

He takes note of the young blonde and Kyouya, but he stays in his corner, assessing the situation and waiting before making a move. Is he the oldest person in this group? Have any of them even sailed before? So far it's looking less like he joined a justice brigade and more like he just signed on to be willingly bossed around by a bunch of noble teenagers.
Fuck his life.
He's still pretty battered from his last four encounters not even twenty-four hours before showing up here in this world, and they're taking a little while to heal. He's just going to drink his rum and be annoyed at how weak it is. Pirates are weak.

It wasn't until most of everyone else had gone that she got up to look for the owner of a voice she'd only barely heard and could have well imagined. Seemingly in the corner of the bar looking like he didn't want to be talked to was the tall gruff marine, and Maribelle hesitantly made her way to his table.
"Excuse me sir... I hope I'm not bothering you but... are you perhaps the vice-admiral?"
no subject
Grumpy, arrogant, and kind of an asshole or not, he could try to be polite. When he wanted to. Which wasn't often, but he was making an exception for now, since so far this girl seemed to be one of the few people with an actually decent head on her shoulders.
Hopefully she doesn't mind the incredibly scarred and battered condition he's in.

"Vice-Admiral... if I may be so bold as to ask... how exactly did you come to be as wounded as you are right now? Were you ambushed when you arrived here? Or... was this perhaps something that happened in your own world?" She was already starting to rummage around for her mend staff... just in case he wasn't too prideful to accept some medical attention. It wouldn't really do to have one of her most competent members of her crew to be limping around the ship.
no subject
Yeah.
He needed another drink.
"I guess I should feel lucky to be alive, but given one of enemies who was with me doesn't remember any of it, and none are my men are here, and I still have to call in reports to Headquarters whenever the time-shit sorts out, I'm not really feeling it right now. Sorry."

She entered the tavern and glanced around, before smiling.
"Are you Miss Maribelle?"
no subject
"Ah yes, I am indeed Maribelle." Yet she was fairly certain that as of yet she had not spoken to this person before. "You must be one of the people that Kyouya spoke to?" Unless she happened to be one of the people who had simply overheard from someone else that Maribelle was assembling the most honorable crew in port.
"A pleasure to meet you."

Excuse me sir... are you perhaps here to inquire about a position on our maiden voyage?
no subject
I understand that you are Miss Maribelle, correct?
[Spock had done his research, and he needed to be on a crew that wasn't dictate by pirates.]

[She won't turn anyone away who wishes to not be part of a pirate crew. Yet it would still be nice to have some people with talent in her crew.]

I am Commander Spock of the Starship Enterprise, where I serve as its First Officer and Chief of Science. I have no... sailing experience, however, as a Vulcan, I can assure you that I learn at a rapid pace.
