PIRATES vs. NAVY BATTLE LOG

December 9th finds some new arrivals to this world, the same curious phenomenon that's been occurring for the past few months.
This time, however, the Navy is prepared -- or so they think.
They've got troops stationed around the island, and ships on the water to stop any arrogant, foolhardy pirates and would-be sailors from trying to make port.
So hit them with all you've got, but they're not going down easily...
THE SEA OUTSIDE THE HARBOR
Once the fighting starts, other ships in the blockade will rush in to help, and even more in the area will be on high alert. An important thing to note about the battles taking place here is that the Navy will learn from them. So whatever you and your crews decide to do, just remember you're being watched and studied, and everything will be taken into account for future encounters.
WHERE THE MURDRESS WINDS UP

What are the chances we're actually going to have to use those, do you think?

By any means necessary.

A fair chance. Even marred in this unnatural mist they may think to give chase and sail into us. It's best for us to be prepared.

Aye lad. I know to aim em' and fire em'.

Don't look at me like that, how should I know. I've never seen you use them before!

ALCYONE
[Still, they had insisted. And even Jade couldn't deny the importance of getting the island back. Reckless or not, the raid wasn't something they could ignore.]
[As soon as the battle began and the element of surprise was no longer a priority, Jade sprung to action. They might lack numbers, but his fonic artes were no less potent.]
"O darkened storm cloud, loose thy blade and run mine enemies through! Thunder Blade!"
[The unlucky Navy ship attempting to flank them got a nasty surprise as sword-shaped lightning struck the deck with impeccable precision. Not enough to destroy the ship, but certainly enough to keep the crew busy trying to put out the fires and avoid sinking. Jade swiftly began to prepare another arte; with just him casting, he would have to ration his energy carefully.]
[He was certainly in no position to watch his back at the same time. Here's hoping he could depend on his allies.]

We've got your back! Keep going!
[With the ease of a team that's had some practice together, Rikka begins to look around for threats.]
no subject
My, that was really quite an ingenious idea!

Captain! Please consider us your support in this battle...! We'll do whatever we can to ensure your ship's safety, along with everyone else's!
[something that Rikka had just said more succinctly, of course... Mana followed it up by pulling out her Love Heart Arrow, which she trained outward against any incoming projectiles]

It worked once before, so I thought it'd be worth trying again. If something happened, well... it didn't, so I'm not going to worry about that.

[Thunderous explosions of cannon fire from ships several degrees larger and better armed than either one they were presently dealing with caught her attention.]
Oh... dear, yes. That's right.
[In the fog's veil, cannonballs fall without much rhyme or accuracy. But all it would take is for one to hit SOMETHING, and they'd have a target...]

PRECURE.... HEART SHOOT!
[with a wink, Mana fired, the pink, magical, absurdly girly wave shot upwards, tearing through some of the volley and causing them to explode well before hitting anything... but she didn't get all of them]

Defending the Sun
"Look lively, lads. Remember, lives first, ship second. Natsuno. You're on fire duty." Since even if the vampire couldn't fight he could at least put out fires where they started.

His glare is ice cold though, unimpressed with the Navy, thanks to his imprisonment.

Honestly, he wanted to get off the ship and to land. Knock a few heads in, or take a few off. He was angry, hurt and annoyed, but when asked to stay back and defend the Sun, he did.
He saw Thatch pull his swords, calling for looking lively. Huh. He moved up towards him, a snarl on his lips as he saw the scout crafts. With one hand he rubbed under his nose and spoke. "Let me at 'em and I'll have those boats under water before they reach us." His claws slowly sank out of both hands, fingers flexing into fists.
He would, too. At least one of them. Dive in, swim under and slide holes into each ship. Sure, he was hiding a few slow close wounds, but that could be worried about later.
no subject
"You going to need any kind of cover for coming back?" he asked, glancing at Natsuno. He isn't a great shot himself from this distance and maybe the most this kid could do would be to hit them over the head with a bucket.
no subject
Running his hand over his jaw, claws still out he stared out at them. yeah, they had a good tailwind, but that just meant it would bring them to him faster. He was a hell of a swimmer too. These claws will cut through anything, and he'd be willing to bet those boats will be no match for him.
As for cover.
"Naw. You and the kid can deal with the ship." Maybe he should stay with them. It'd be easier to take down everyone in general, as well as keep an eye on the others. But if he can take them out before they reach the ship, that was better still, right?
With a small grunt, he pulled his shirt off, leaving him in a tank. "I can reach one at least. Take it out. Might take a bit to catch up to the second one once it passes me. Think you can handle a few on board with out me?" he said with a devious smirk.
Tie a rope to him. Haul him back in. If they could manage that, he could take down both easy. At the moment he just intended to do what he could, and hope to swim back fast enough to help if the second boat made it.
