[Ace's patience had been worn thin quickly by the island. With a sleepy look on his face, he broke through the underbrush and stepped out in front of Riku, reaching over to shove the young man over onto the ground. It was as kind a greeting as he could muster, as irritated and tired he had gotten.]

Oof--[Part two. Ace threw himself forward into it, getting a hold of Marco around the body. He was trying to pin his wings so he couldn't fly--which was in itself difficult because the guy could turn into sort!of fire, too. The main objective was to drag Marco out of the forest long enough for the effect to weaken.]

[Korra approaches the deer from the opposite side of Logan, except it's much more of a stalk than an approach.
She's here for dinner.
Except- There's Logan? She's never seen a deer (why is it just a deer? Not a catdeer?) be so at ease with a human, especially someone as scary-looking as Logan. Korra jumps down from her perch in a tree several meters back, landing on the forest floor within Logan's eyesight. She drops the idea of hunting the animal; it just doesn't feel right to eat something that didn't even try to run.
So, she gives Logan a wave and a greeting, walking toward the pair.]

[Ace burst out of the water with a grin, standing on the bottom without so much as going dead in the arm. He felt perfectly fine. Though, admittedly, he still wasn't sure if the chains would work forever. He waved his arms over his head, laughing at Asami despite her well-deserved concern.]

The bird, flapping away with a measure of fatigue and wariness about it, didn't look back at Ace. It lost its message and had to escape from its owner to avoid being punished, but otherwise it wasn't distraught. Really, it was dodging a bullet since Ace opted not to eat it.
Ace, snickering cruelly as he opened up the note, looked to Nami when she just sort of hovered over.
"Ahhh, this? I dunno. Lemme read it and see what's in it..."

Just some research, trying to figure out what I can do with the plant life around here and how it might help in the future. From what I've discovered so far it could prove to be a better replacement then even the medications back home.
... And it's something to do other than lying around bored off my ass. [He's spent the last two days pretty much locked in his room drained of energy. Even now he'd be slightly pale. But he's really not the type to sit around and rest. ]

April 10th, [Something happened the night before leaving the doctor in quite the state and unable to go out and play with you all. In fact, he's probably hoping everyone just forgets about him for the next few days. If someone does walk into the room they'd see him lying there in a daze, dehydrated and pale. Anemia isn't fun boys and girls.]
April 11-12th, [It's probably a good thing they came to this island, because it's helping him heal a lot faster than usual. Although still not in peak condition he's now wondering the forest and looking for different plants and herbs so he can study them and hopefully create a few remedies for the low, low price of manual labor.]

After a long pause and serious thinking on her end, she finally goes to speak to him. In her mind, there really isn't any choice.]

For those who can sense energies, haki, spiritual energies or however they are called, it'll be easy to notice that something isn't right with him. While it's true that he has been quite reclusive lately, for some reason today he seems to emanate aggressiveness. And he does so loud enough for it to be felt all over the ship.]

[After spending most of the 11th with Marco, Ikki is finally out and around. But don't let that fool you, this phoenix isn't joining the ranks of flower crown weavers, in fact the aggressive aura from the first day is still there and even seems to get worse with each passing day.
He hates this place way too much. It's aura and how it tries to affect him, to force him to bow to it.
He wants nothing but burn everything and kill every cute little animal in his way. But he can't. He won't. Not when there's too many people who are busy being all "yay, yay, happy" with this place, not realizing that they are being played with like always, that just because this time it doesn't make them kill each other it doesn't make it any more right. This peace, this serenity is forced on them, not real. And Ikki despises it.
But Marco made a promise and he's going to cling to it and fulfill his part of the deal. So he shuts up and endures it. But no one said that he had to feign to like it. His trips around the island will be focused on getting supplies or whatever may be useful even if he is hesitant to trust anything that comes from here.
