What: Crew shenanigans, both light-hearted and serious, while the rest of the ships prepare for and do battle with the witch.

The Antoinette is a strange ship to be on. The (wise) decision was made not to go into battle, so it has been offered as a safe haven for those unable or unwilling to join the fight against the witch.

The air of light-heartedness found might, at times, feel forced, and it is a bit. The residents have only their morale to keep them going, so that's what they rely upon.


(Please feel free to either reply to the subject headers provided or make your own! This is just a general mingle log for anyone on the Antoinette. If your character is a non-combatant who wouldn't want to go into the fight or someone injured and unable to join the fight, Kyouya has publicly offered passage, so feel free to handwave being there.

Has Saria ever told you about something called 'proportions'? [He points to the... lizard-thing in the drawing.] Godzilla's arms are as big as his legs.

[Link shook his head. He wasn't sure what it was, but 'godzilla' was wrong.]

It's not arms. It's legs. All of them are legs. It's rearing up in anger

[That makes more sense. He tilts his head to the side, then shakes it.]

What is it supposed to be, then? Just a regular giant overgrown lizard?

[Link shook his head again and then shrugged.]

I don't know. I saw it in a dream. I'm fighting it.

Your dreams must be pretty lousy if you don't even know what it is you're fighting.

They are.

[Another shrug. He had nightmares all the time.]

Sometimes all I see is fire all around me and this scary man riding through the flames on a horse. Sometimes I just dream of fire by itself and the scary man never comes. Other times I'm fighting monsters like this one. I always wake up before I see if I win. It's okay, though. They're just dreams.

[Well, this got more intense than he was anticipating. He almost feels bad for bothering the kid now - not out of guilt, exactly, moreso because he doesn't know what to do with information like that.]

Sounds pretty wild. Do you dream like that all the time?

[He knows he's had some pretty adventurous dreams, but not recurring ones like it sounds like this kid has.]

[Link shook his head.]

Not as much since coming here. I used to have them almost every night back home. I had the dream about this monster last night. Probably because everyone is going to fight the witch and I'm not able to be there. I should be there.

What good would a kid like you be in a fight? [It's rude, but a genuine question.] It's better for them if you're out of the way.

[Link took extreme offense to that.]

If my leg wasn't broken, I'd be just fine in a fight. That's why I have a sword and shield.

[He's just glad to have something to get him out of the dream topic, really. His legs are starting to cramp from the crouch, so he adjusts himself to sit properly next to the kid.]

You're a kid. [As if Link wouldn't already know.]

[Link glared up at him. What did being a kid have to do with anything?]

All Kokiri are kids. We never get big like you. That doesn't mean I can't fight. I fight really good, too! The Great Deku Tree wouldn't have asked me to break the curse on him if I didn't.

[He's doubtful. And what's that nonsense about a tree asking him to do something? Might be one of the dreams the kid mentioned earlier...]

If you're so good, why's your leg broken?

Mister Sasuke set traps down on the ship to catch his brother, Mister Itachi, who was trying to kill us all and I ran into one. It grabbed me by my leg and pulled me up the mast and it broke my leg when it pulled me.

[Said in the deadest of deadpans.]

[HOLY CRAP THE CRAZED MURDERERS ARE ACTUALLY REAL?!?!? He knew they were a problem--but he didn't realize he would encounter a victim! What are you supposed to say to a child who goes through that?]

How did you survive?!

[The young boy stared at Hikaru for a moment, eyes blinking slowly in surprise.]

My leg was broken so the rest of the crew locked me in a room where he couldn't get to me while I was hurt. Miss Tojiko joined me after Mister Itachi burned her really bad.

[Well, that explains why the kid was saying his dreams usually had a bad man and lots of fire. Geeze, that must have been terrible.]

What happened then?

He disappeared with the rest of the people the witch cursed. I was let out of the room to try and do my duties and when everyone else went to go fight the which, I was brought here. Miss Tojiko stayed with them. The burn hurt her but she's still able to fight properly.

[The only thing stopping him from applauding the thrilling tale is the fact that he honestly believes it happened.]

That's... some pretty serious stuff. [And his entire perception of this kid has changed.] And you still think they should have let you go with them? Are you crazy?

No. If my leg wasn't broken I would have gone with them. I'm a warrior just as much as they are.

How old are you? [He'd said something about not growing up... maybe he was secretly a few thousand years old? That's explain why he's so insistent on being a fighter.]

Well, you look like a kid. Nobody sane would let someone so young onto a battlefield, so if you want to fight, it would mean that you're really old--right?

The Great Deku Tree isn't crazy! And neither is Captain Marvelous, or Mister Link, or Miss Tojiko, or Mister Sasuke, or anyone else on the Charming Murderess. I don't have to be old to know how to fight. I bet you can't fight half as well as I can!
