Roxas On The Ship

Roxas was confused.

This in itself was not that unusual, however it was different. Everything he worried about just days ago seemed to be less of a problem now that he's found himself in a new, somewhat hostile world. He met Riku and followed him to a ship, and today he was just hanging out, trying to get a feel for the place, and maybe unscramble the mess that was his memories.

In the morning, he can be found sitting on the railing overlooking the sea. Roxas looks content doing so, he had a fascination with the water.

In the afternoon, he can be found in the galley getting a snack, or perhaps down below deck, checking out his room and pacing between it and the steps so he can remember where it is.

In the evening, he can be found on deck on his back, staring at the stars.

[Ever since they got on board, Lea has been keeping his distance from Roxas. It's been surprisingly easy, really. It's a big ship with a big crew, so just fading into the background is a piece of cake, especially since it seems like Roxas doesn't want to go looking for him.

He doesn't blame him. There has to be a lot weighing on him, especially since Riku has forced the issue and dumped everything on the poor kid at once. Lea would have been perfectly content to play Axel until they got things sorted out, but in a way it's probably better like this. Sort of like ripping off a bandage.

Except, well, he knows he can't avoid Roxas forever and now seems as good a time as any to rip of his own bandage, so to speak. He makes his way over to where Roxas is laying and flops down next to him, folding his arms behind his head.]

Haven't seen this many stars in a long time.

*Selphie comes across Roxas as he's pacing around - she's at the top of the stairs, and watches up walk down, then along to his room, and then come back again. Looking at the back of his head, she giggles and calls over to him*

Are you lost, Sora?

*Because, yes, this is clearly Sora that she's looking at, isn't it?*

[They got a notice of new people being on the ship, it's not a surprise, even without the announcement Ikki would have expected their number to grow larger with their involvement with Empieza's rescue. That doesn't mean that he's going to go out of his way to meet them, being social just isn't his thing.

So when he's working on the deck carrying supplies into the ship, he ignores the kid sitting on the railing for the most part. At his fifth or so travel from below deck towards the port, though, Ikki speaks, not stopping even for a second.]

Don't go falling into the water.

[Ace was supposed to be taking time to relax and sleep. He was already tired of it. By Tuesday Night, the Marines lost the incentive to fight most of their battles. By Wednesday morning, they were all gone and Ace returned to the Sun to sleep. He woke up late in the evening and saw Riku had left a message on the journals about new crew members.

Most people would have been wary, but Ace trusted Riku with his life. After he saw how he reacted to Sora's death, Ace knew Riku was someone he would defend to the last breath. So, if Roxas and Lea were people who he approved of, then he would trust them, as his captain.]

Hmmm. So, who're you?

[Ace stepped onto the deck, albeit with a limp. Fighting for days on end, getting a small break and jumping straight back into days of fighting took it out of even someone as durable as Ace. He leaned against a panel of wall, smiling towards Roxas.]

[There was one thing that Kairi enjoyed doing when she had the time to of course and that was stare out at sea. Although by now it was dark, but there was something about watching the sea under the stars that made Kairi feel happy, especially after all that has happened. But as she stepped out onto the deck she looked over. To be honest at first sight she couldn't quite figure out who they were, so she made her way over.]
