Of course, the other side of her was right in warning her that she at this point, was still considered a pirate. So maybe seeking out bounties wasn't a good idea right now.
As the navy ships got closer, Bonnie took it upon herself to greet their "guests", launching rockets right at them with her basket.]

[They never get a chance to answer. There are only screams. He lands on deck and tucks unreal air back in his sylladex. He won't stay on the Navy ship long. Just long enough to either put them out of commission entirely or make sure they're running away with their tails between their legs.]

So, he lingered by the helm, watching over the situation. Marco, Thatch, Namur--they could issue commands to fix the sails, ready the cannons and prepare armaments in general, but he was to make the big commands. Ace was going to call their attacks.
A few minutes in as everything was ready to fire and the Navy had caught up--]
On my command! Port Cannons, Sun! Starboard Cannons, Moon! Get ready! [Given that the Sun was to the left of the Moon, it was an insane command to give, but then-- Ace hiked the helm, drawing the Sun so it crossed out of the way. When the Moon would fire, Sun would already be out of the way.]
Now, fire!

So, in an effort to minimize the effect that might have on the battle, she heads to the prow to start her working. The air around her begins to shimmer with heat, her hair steadily beginning to stand on end as it ignited, and the sky above her began to crackle with heat-lightning.
When she heard the order to fire, Chandra unleashed her will, lashing out with a column of electricity, and followed up with waves of fireballs aimed at the Navy men exposed on the decks.
And then the pyromancer began to laugh, wild with abandon, and probably full of madness. But then...nobody ever said she was sane...]

So Grell wields her mighty shover and swings over. The rope gets shot once she makes it ninety percent of the way, but by that time it's too late for them to stop her. She disappears and reappears behind one naval officer and bashes his head in. With all that strength she had, he no longer had much of a neck. Or skull.]

Nami was no stranger to combat and kept herself close to her crew members. Not only due to sheer habit, but also because she wanted to ensure that everyone made it out alive. Though the time for healing had yet to arrive, and until then...]

Instead, there are flashes of light with her thundara spells, and bursts of blue as she freezes her opponents with blizzara. She has her nunchaku on her, of course, and she pauses in her magic using to swing the weapon best to knock them out, or to dish out whatever damage she sees fit.
If she spies anyone near by that looks like they might need help, or healing, she's on hand to do that here. Equally, from here elevated space on deck, she can cast protect spells over her crew when they need it*

The Sun
[Still, this means that the guys who manage to slip past the front lines are met with someone covering their snipers and other ranged fighters. As a cluster of them surrounds him, he uses his real leg to spring into a handstand, doing a split so that his body becomes, in essence, a spinning top of pain. Anyone who'd seen Sanji fight in the past would recognize the move as the Party Table Kick Course.]
[The downside is it takes an extra second or two to right himself since he doesn't have two feet to regain his balance. And right now he's got another Navy corpsman aiming to strike him, fist raised in a punch.]

One small breath and he charges in, swinging his keyblades fast and hard. He remembers the things Aya taught him and does his best not to cross them over. He'll leave the magic aside, just in case he needs it later.
He cuts into one of the lower ranked officers mercilessly, splattering his blood on the deck. Better this guy's blood than his own.]

All the same, he's been practicing and he has his sword in hand and gun on his hip. Whatever he needs to do, he's prepared. He engages the first member of the Navy. It's much more difficult then facing brainless zombies, but he's been practicing his swordplay.
He holds his own just fine during this first encounter.]

Immediately he shifts and dives, his sharpened beak readily tearing apart the first enemy he sees. The now deadweight and whatever body parts torn off are are thrown, scattered into the crowd of naval officers. If he hasn't any other choice than to help fight, then he might as well make it amusing for himself.
Naesala ascends and circles close to the enemy ship, aiming for his next prey and keeping an eye out for anyone in trouble.]

He’s just barely managing to burn a swathe through the officers on deck, and his straight line destination is probably obvious: their gunpowder stores. The firebender’s set to spread the make short work of the ship if he can help it.
He’s not a one many army though, and with all the gunfire going around he’s trying to watch your back while flinging some fire. But who’s watching his?

[The moment he knew he would make it, he moved, like a cat he stood on the railing, and lept out, hands out and reaching for the other ship. Shots fired? Who cares. He took a single hit before landing on deck, claws out and face snarling. Time to fuck some shit up.]
[The Wolverine cleared the area he landed on, so others could jump or swing across with out as much trouble. That and he wanted to get a head start. Logan? He's leaving a few of these petty officers bleeding on the deck, and taking off after groups of others. Want to help? Go for it, but someone's got some pent up annoyance to burn and these poor Navy bastards are going to take the brunt of it right now. He'll be a bit of a mess, because the idiot takes the hits and slashes instead of avoiding them, but he's still standing and doing fine. Just a bit bloody. He heals though, very slowly.]

An officer up on the deck levels a rifle at her and barks for her to stand down, but all she does is grin up at him with a manic expression. His finger squeezes on the trigger, and Chandra's flicks towards him, igniting the powder in his weapon and causing a small explosion that sends him stumbling to the deck.]
Heh. Your weapons are nothing more than kindling.
[And then she heads up towards the helm, intent on taking the vessel and doing...something with it.]

...One cannon shell isn't going to do it. What do you think you're--
[The shell, rather than piercing the hull, exploded mid-air above both ships. A gigantic purple cloud of gas and dust expelled in all directions, slowly descending towards them.]
You lose, pirate. We can't capture your whole crew, but none of you are going to escape! If you weren't greedy, then you might have been able to get away! Now, boys-- Let's get out of here! Take this low-life in chains and let his crew rot!

Main Battle - Retreat
The Moon
Leave it to me, though you may want to hold on to something.
[That's the only warning you're getting as she slams her staff down on the ship. Almost immediately after, a massive tidal wave spreads out in front and continues to surge forward unhindered. Any Navy ship caught in it's way is sure to feel it.]

The Sun
Korra shot out of the ocean and onto the deck of the Sun when Ace called for retreat. There were few things she hated more than running away, but... She was injured. A lot of them were injured. There was a sizable gash across her shoulder, and she was bruised from a bad stumble. It wasn't anything she wasn't used to, but it was still a hindrance. Even if it didn't technically matter, she didn't want anyone dying out here.
The Avatar cringed as she balanced herself at the bowsprit of the Sun, her arms swirling back and forth as she pushed the waters ahead in the Spades' favor. Fine. Retreat. But they would have their revenge.

The fire shell full of poison was enough. Inhaling it all in one go, Ace surprised himself by being lively enough to call for a retreat. They had to go full-sail and get away from anymore of those shells. The Corpsemaster likely wouldn't pursue, but he knew how that man felt. He would fire as long as he was in range, even while turning and fleeing.
After calling their escape, Ace raised his hands and drew a curtain of flames over the ship, smashing it down on top of two of the burning Navy vessels behind the Sun. His fists tightened and he did his best to cement those flames as solid as possible.] Flame Net...!
[Despite the fact that it was only fire--because Ace called it, the fiery barrier would stay there a long while, even on the surface of the water. There was no chance the Navy would pursue at that point. As if the realization that the crew would be that much safer at the moment, Ace's body decided it would be a fine time to collapse, which it did.
Ace landed on his side, his body heating up immensely. Though he couldn't move, he could still burn. Inside his veins, there was a fiery storm of heat as he kept his blood burning, making sure it couldn't clot. As long as it didn't clot, his heart wouldn't stop easily. There was still the possibility of shock, but he was too busy going through it to really worry about it.]
